CaledonianGonzo
yep you're right http://www.setlist.fm/setlist/blur/1999/balado-kinross-scotland-73d44ab5.html thank god for that encore or i'm sure people would've been ready to have a little cry To be fair, there are a few more upbeat numbers in there than I remember - but even that can be counteracted by the fact that the act on before them were The Stereophonics. Tuna
Also never seen Blur (young'un and all) - none of these late 90s sets have Caramel though which is sad. If I wanted a proper miserable set I think a 13-era Blur would be up there for me. (I quite like a miserable set... maybe that just says something about me.) edit: Just looked it up - seems like the first time they played it was Maida Vale 2012! Blimey. The Placid Casual
Girls & Boys London Loves Tracy Jacks Jubilee Beetlebum Coffee & TV Out of Time (with Khyam Allami) Young & Lovely Trimm Trabb Caramel Sunday Sunday Country House Parklife (with Phil Daniels) (& Harry Enfield) Colin Zeal ("Bugman" and "Oily Water"… more ) Popscene Advert Song 2 No Distance Left to Run Tender This Is a Low Encore: Sing Under the Westway Intermission End of a Century For Tomorrow The Universal This is the setlist we got in 2012, practically perfect. The encore was certainly the highlight though. I was at the front, so I didn't experience any sound problems
Alan_C
That's the setlist for Hyde Park 2012 isn't it? I was at that gig and luckily was in a spot where the sound was good, absolutely amazing night. That setlist is superb as well.
The Placid Casual
Yeah, they were on top form that night

I got that but with Oily Water instead of Colin Zeal (and the puritan in there i think) at Wolverhampton the week before. Amazing gig, hopefully a small venue again this time instead of hyde park
The Placid Casual
Yeah, the warm up gigs are what I'll be keeping an eye on this year. They're bound to do a couple
Alan_C
I seen an article where it mentioned Scotland and Wales for the warmups. Not sure if that is it or if they're doing some more in England as well. I'll be trying for Scotland if they don't play any closer to Newcastle though. Can't justify the £300 it would cost for Hyde Park only 3 days before I leave for Glastonbury.
The Placid Casual
I could see Blur playing Venue Cymru in Llandudno, that'd be more than ideal for me Bet if they do Wales though, it's a venue in the bloody south
LondonTom
also i know it's a bit of a shit song but i'd love them to start playing Charmless Man. don't think they've played it since they reformed surprisingly One of my favourite Blur tunes! If they play it has to be there this time out! Unless I've also got it completely wrong, Pulp played the other night with a This Is Hardcore heavy set. I'd love Pulp to do a This is Hardcore heavy set!!! What a fantastic show that would be! Edited February 24, 2015 by LondonTom
The Nal
Graham saying the shows were getting a bit stale with the old material. Hence the new album. Good progressive attitude in fairness.

Went to see them in Sheffield in 2012 and was chuffed to get A Little Soul, Help The Aged, Party Hard as well as This Is Hardcore obviously. Think they were meant to play Dishes and The Fear as well but couldn't fit it all in.
neil999
you could have a setlist something like this, whcih would be different enough i guess.. parklife new song new song on your own beetlebum out of time end of a century new song MOR crazy beat we've got a file on you chemical world the universal to the end sing song 2 popscene girls and boys tender
Alan_C
I don't think they will stick to just singles outside of the new stuff. I don't think there is likely to be anything from Think Tank outside of Out Of Time either. Damon was saying the other day how there's some right stinkers on that album and he doesn't count it as a Blur album. I like it myself, especially Ambulance and Battery In Your Leg. They'll open with Girls and Boys until the day they die (except the odd show) Edit: This had nothing to do with your quote, sorry. I love Charmless Man though, I'd love to see it live but I can't see that happening Edited February 24, 2015 by WessexBoy
FloorFiller
i love Think Tank, but, even for the ever-changing Blur, it was a bit of a weird one. very downbeat bar one or two songs

Callum_96
Me and my mate have payed the 80 quid or whatever and neither of us have seen them and I can't stand Hyde Park but I did not fancy missing Blur again, if the do headline Glasto though I might look into selling my ticket cause you know Hyde Park
hurdy
ha well I wasnt one of them! They charge more than any other band I've seen at that venue (that I've been interesting in seeing anyway). I was. Although what I said was that I'd found in an arena they charged pretty much the same as anyone else. In an academy style venue they charged exactly the same which is clearly more than everyone else would charge for a smaller venue (apart from The Specials). Wooderson
As the years go by and my tastes change "13" looms larger and larger as their best record for me.
Mardy
13 is a very good record indeed. I remeber it coming out and just blowing me away. Chimed perfectly for my life at that moment. I might need to revisit 'Think Tank'. Not lsitened to it for ages. Personally I love the second half of 'Blur'
TomViolence
£120 a day ticket at Reading these days so if the Blur support is good then I'll probs get a ticket for Hyde Park
