I personally think that is more to do with the fact that no matter what they do, glastonbury will always get the attention.

Can you imagine 130,000 signatures on a petition if Kanye was headlining IOW?

I'd personally spend a whole day signing it

But yeah maybe, i don't know i feel like they have to go for at least one 'Heavyweight' one, with Macca, Madge or someone fitting that bill, and importantly pleasing the locals.

My 2 thoughts on it are - Why announce the smallest headliner last? People are expecting (probably wrongly) that the final headliner will be the "big one". There will be disappointment if it's Florence.

See, whilst this is going to be my 5th Glastonbury, i think i've seen 5 headliners in 4 years to this point, and it isn't really a huge deal to me who headlines, however, it does provide the biggest talking points, so i think Glastonbury are playing with fire if they do book florence for example, unless they pull off a ridiculously talented set of performers elsewhere (they usually do, but i mean beyond and above that).

So I'm inclined to believe your top comment. However, that may be slightly bias on my behalf.

6Music have been rinsing FATM recently...I could easily see them being given the nod, despite what Emily has said previously. Irrelevant to me as I will be anywhere but at the Pyramid. I think she'd give the festival a very popular and happy feel for the Sunday night. It would please a huge number of your middle of the road punters.

Yeh, I dont really have a problem with her headlining. I mean I think she's shit and a horrible posh tory tit, but it would be good to have a female headliner and she appears to be popular.

The problem is only that we have been convinced she isnt playing and that someone stellar is instead, so the disappointment would be absolutely crushing.

I wish she'd have been announced first so we can make our peace with the decision early, like we did with foo fighters.
