Every year I say I am going to come along to a meet but a combination of shyness and lateness means I end up lurking at the edges, - a bit like how I am on these forums. This year I resolve to be more confident and be there.

Go find where it is earlier in the day then have a skinfull and mosie on over later when you're suitably pissed (or whatever)

Same again with the canapés Neil I assume? The marinated bocconcini wrapped in parma ham was a highlight. Dunno how you kept them so light and fresh. Kiz bagged a real hero.

The home made Russian blinis with smoked salmon and beluga caviar were delightful too. Served with an exquisite pearl spoon.

Hi all,

Long time lurker/very occasional contributor from New Zealand here. My wife and I are ecstatic about returning to glastonbury this year after some time off as it's our favourite place in the world!

This time round is going to be a much different experience for us however. The friends we used to share the festival with have now moved home so we will be doing this one without them for the first time. Hope we can use the efests meet to make some new friends to share in the excitement with and tell some lies about festivals past!

Ive been a member for years but have never managed to get to an efests meet, hopefully if I get tickets me and the wife will be there this year. Would be rude not to after the solidarity shown by fellow members during this resale, especially this last week.

Really looking forward to putting faces to names, im not shy either so striking up conversations with strangers at Glasto has never been a problem for me.

It'll be my first meet. With the banter people have, and interests, it can seem that groups are preformed, but I'm sure you'd get a warm welcome, I'm counting on it. No matter our musical taste, we all have a common interest :-)

Cheers Neil, I was in a meeting so my brother got mine and the wife's sorted. I rang a mate who went last year to see if he got sorted, he said he'd been in all day watching TV. Words fail me !
