Axl didn't rant at Leeds, he just played the show. There was no plug pull, it was the whole show from start to finish.

i'm sure he did rant - something about being promised an extra long time slot (2 and a half hours or something) and then them going back on the promise, having to cut a few songs (Better, for example) and going straight to Paradise City

Not quite. She said she thinks it's her only show.

It could quite easily be the case that she knows it's not, and the use of 'thinks' was her way of telling a porkie.

Just looked and 2012 is the last time she played it. She seems a very obvious choice. 2013 for Mumford. Hopefully Mumford were telling the truth about their plans.

LCD Soundsystem were fucking marvellous, that was one of the twice I saw them, and it was an absolute pleasure

I would be absolutely ecstatic if the rumours of them playing again were true, even more so if they came back to the farm

Has there been any more news surrounding this rumour? I haven't been playing close enough attention.

It would be AMAZING though. A perfect alternative to the Pyramid beige.

Despite nothing indicating Muse apart from a Daily Mail article and the fact they have said they would like to do it again, they sure feature a lot in people's nailed on predictions. Similar scenario with Florence last year. I really hope that if Adele and Coldplay are near certainties then I hope that the Eavai pull out Pearl Jam as a final headliner. Almost certain to be doing Europe next summer and will instantly change the dynamic of that trio of headliners to something far more appetising.

Neil has said he thinks it'll be them, and that he heard they replaced Foo Fighters. That's why we're predicting them.

Not quite that.

Stuff I heard suggested Foos were in the frame until around the time of their Milton Keynes shows, when plans appeared to change - but nothing of that was particularly solid. Then talk of them went out, and talk of Muse came in.

I've no real idea if it is Muse or not, but it seems to make sense.

There was also chatter about someone seeing logistical plans already being in place for Muse... True/False? Guess we'll find out in a few months.

I was told at the end of October by someone that Muse have already signed their agreement to headline and it's the other 2, Coldplay and Adele who were not yet signed and sealed. Whilst I can't reveal my source I was told it was 100% guaranteed for Muse, although I never asked what night they were booked for.

The same person told me about Paul Weller and The Who last time whilst The Who still had gigs lined up in Paris so I decided not to put a bet on them headlining when the market was still open.

Not how I remember it mate. They were very late on and was quite a bit of boo-ing etc due to the delay. Lot`s of wee fires getting lit which was good :)

He then finished on a rant about " them " pulling the plug when they were in a field in the middle of no-where or something along those lines. He was fooling no-one as they had been well warned after Reading and they still came on late.

Seeing their " show " at Leeds and the Sex Pistols reunion at Loch Lomond are 2 of my biggest gig regrets :(

Well he wouldn't have been on about Reading if it was said in the middle of nowhere, it's about 15 mins walk to a Tesco and the town lol. A river ironically runs outside of it. They were later than the specified time but they weren't that long after the crew completely disappeared from the stage. He might have had some rant about something but he went out and smashed it IMO, probably in a bit of a two fingers up to Reading but if you weren't at Reading in all fairness you wasn't that bothered.

Same here, two shows, Leeds Festival and Manchester Apollo in 2010. I loved them at the time, and I've grown to love them exponentially more ever since. As much as I'd love to see them again, I'm pretty much 100% certain it will never happen.

You know who Leeds Festival did pull the plug on? LCD Soundsystem. On the dot of the sound curfew, in a tent. Axl Rose was allowed to punish his audience until about an hour afterwards. It's a crime.

My posts on this site are swaying to almost exclusivity on the LCD rumours as I have built myself into such a frenzy about the possibility.

Saw them on their joint tour with Hot Chip in 2010 when I was kind of into them. Like above my love for them has grown and grown to the point where there isn't any act in the world I would rather see.

Pyramid Friday Night. Imagine the Scenes.

FWIW I second / third / whatever this.

Saw them at Glastonbury (2010 IIRC), Brixton Academy (best of the 3) and Wireless (2006/7?) same weekend as Daft Punk...before Wireless transformed into whatever the fuck it is now.

Awesome stuff.
