I really like the on going 'political madness gone mad' theme they're going with throughout the season but on first watch I didn't find the episodes that funny, after the first 5 episodes I thought this was one of the worst South Park seasons but I've gone back and watched them all again and I find it great. It's nice to see there's a popular show poking fun at SJW's because of how absurd some of the things they do are

RotS is the single worst film ever made. Our protagonist kills swathes of innocent kids just cus and never shows a modicum of remorse, and then chokes his supposedly beloved pregnant wife to death. Everybody just accepts Episode 2 and 3 because they knew what sort of shitshow was coming, Episode 1 gets more than it's fair share of flak because it was so out of the blue, there was no way in anybody's mind that a Star Wars film could be shit before it came along. Episode 1 doesn't have Yoda fighting with a lightsaber and flipping around, and for that it is better than the other two. The podrace in Episode 1 and the Colosseum scene vs the monsters (before all the boring ass Jedi show up) in Episode 2 are as exciting as you're going to get from the prequels. Obi-Wan vs Jango Fett is the only prequel fight scene that can stand up to the originals, and the Darth Maul one in Episode 1 is elevated by great music.

The Ewoks are endearing and funny and badass. Jar Jar Binks is an offensive stereotype. You can't even begin to compare the two. Return Of The Jedi is non-stop action and excitement all the way through, gives every character a great finish to their arc (except R2 and C3PO because they're pretty much redundant after Star Wars), and has the best effects of any Star Wars. There are places on the internet you can get the unbastardised cut of RotJ in HD, all the Tatooine scenes are utter fucking magic.

The Phantom Menace

Pretty shit but I still saw it about 6 times in the cinema Tier

Attack of the Clones.

 

I saw Phantom Menace for my 9th birthday and was the first Star Wars I saw in the cinema (had seen the originals before)  so probably have a degree of nostalgia for it, but regardless of that, I don't think it's as bad as the internet makes out. Attack of the Clones was much worse.

RotJ is so flatly directed though. Marquand doesn't bring any awe or wonder to it. Although to be fair, he has a sand pit and a wood to work with.

The space battle is the only time I think this is valid, but to be completely fair to him, it was the biggest ever spectacle in any film ever at the time. Everything from the beginning up to the Rancor is pretty perfect but gets quite messy on the barge. The Endor scenes are mainly from a low-down perspective, like how the native Ewoks see things, which I always liked. Showdown in the Emperor's throne room is only let down by uncreative lighting.

I didn't want to mention the "SJWs" comment, it was just too much. Although there is one anime avatar on here, I forget the name, but a very cool poster has a Totoro.

RotS is a film for Linkin Park fans.
