Glasto Map

It has Despacio on it, and Arcadia below the Park, so must be a 2014 image.

Yeah I went back, looked in more detail and saw the info at the bottom. Must have been taken relatively early on the Wednesday then. We turned up around midday and certainly I'd be able to spot our tents in Pylon given how sparse it is in the image.

as one of the people who was helping this project I can confirm its a overhead from 2014 - we { see bottom of image of who we are } worked our way though many versions to try and get it as accurate as possible.
full credit has to go to Staberinde who was doing all the hard work.

Is this the one you said was going to be released this week mate?

that is what is knowing as a ' GFL crew wristband ' so if jonodillieono was issued that then it explains how they had access though the crew only path at Paines Ground

Nah I was just a regular punter last year, we walked right along from the top of dairy to oxlyers and didn't come across any security/stewards at all, a car passed us at one point if i recall correctly though. We'd tried a few times previously to get through there and where told no but we must of just got lucky the last time we went.

Sorry if this repeats earlier discussions but I'm a bit thick with maps! Looking at that link is there no way from the top of Bushy to the centre of the site then? as in that's all restricted so you'd either have to go through Silver Hayes or all the way round to Dairy?

cheers - currently deciding between Pylon and Bushy!

Was in Bushy ground last year, pretty much had to go via Silver Hayes to get to stuff - there is another way round by gate D, but there seems to be a lot of crew camping (or something) that you have to walk round.

Generally wasn't a problem - but going back to our tent earlyish (for Glasto) on Saturday night/sunday morning we couldn't get through Silver Hayes from the Other stage. Had to go on a detour along the World's Muddiest Path through Oxylers and then a loooooooong way round the restricted camping stuff to gate D.

Not really a massive problem, but yeah, it did happen....

The thought of cutting through silver hayes/all the way round puts me off! But seems like a good place otherwise

Getting back to Bushy via Silver Hayes is only really an issue straight after the headliners. I tend to stay out later anyway, or if I wanted to head back to camp from the Pyramid, I would just go via the Beat Hotel route. At any other time of the day, the SIlver Hayes path is fine, and you're soon at the Other field.

I guess all the NW camping areas face this issue, and all are a similar distance away from stuff. I just get the feeling of being more central in Bushy, compared to say Rivermead or Pylon. There's no real difference though.

This has been posted on FB Glasto Chat, a similar idea to Glastomap, far less hi res image but better labelling: http://www.wherever.me.uk/G2015/G2014overlay.jpg

Staberinde used to post round these parts, a name I haven't seen in a long time.

Nice to see Undleground getting some recognition on this and this year's official map. Friends camp there and I spend much of my festival lurking around the neighbourhood, good folks to be found here.

Yeah, it was only a problem that once - and now I know about it would probably head a different way back... That track through Oxylers was slippier than an icerink!

True. I'm keen to camp in this area as it's a bit quieter and easier for coaches so happy to take on a longer walk home as compromise. Just not as long as Darble last year, which was still doable if hard going in the mud.

That is fantastic! Think The Glade is missing its label though if anyone is doing a future edit.

That's awesome!

Also, Caberat stage, new for 2015?

It is amazing... but yes these and it's the Orchard not the Orchid in crew camping next to Clapp's Ground and Croissant Neuf not Nerf - though I do rather like the idea.... that's all I spotted. Not meaning to be a dick used to have to check a lot of copy

Was hoping there was a quicker route from gate A to Hitchin Hill but it seems like entry by Woodsies, past the Beat Hotel then up through Webb's Ash is the only way as that last stretch is a killer. Unless you can cut through Wicket Ground? Anyone know?

Same info reqired for me too

Basically, its bloody long!

You can come up by the Nature Reserve from John Peel/Lower Mead , and there is a track on the right that cuts through the middle of the nature reserve that brings you out by the Long Drops at the bottom of Spring Ground Camping, then its just the bastard stoney hill.
