Glasto Map

Nice one. There seems to be a developing change in the NW of the map regarding car parks (Pink, Orange, Bronze Gates)? Looks like parking might be over the other side of the A361 for the first time that I've ever known. Presumably there is still parking in the NE (Blue / Purple Gates)?

Looks like a hell of a walk from Pink if you get lumped in there.....

There's been extensive parking the other side of the A361 for 4-5 years now; in fact, prior to getting a hospitality parking pass last year, I'd been the other side of the road every year for about three years.

Was hoping there was a quicker route from gate A to Hitchin Hill but it seems like entry by Woodsies, past the Beat Hotel then up through Webb's Ash is the only way as that last stretch is a killer. Unless you can cut through Wicket Ground? Anyone know?

There is a path around wicket ground, it runs alongside the hospitality fence but it's a killer if it's muddy.

I was parked in one of the further Pink Car parks last year. It was a good hour walk to Michael's Mead. I did 2 trips last year. Not doing that again.

Ah, cheers. Never realised this. Learn something new about Glasto every day :)

Still wouldn't want to be parked all the way up there though. Bet Festaxi do a good trade from there....

Basically, its bloody long!

You can come up by the Nature Reserve from John Peel/Lower Mead , and there is a track on the right that cuts through the middle of the nature reserve that brings you out by the Long Drops at the bottom of Spring Ground Camping, then its just the bastard stoney hill.

So there isn't a cut through from wicket to spring, oh hell that's going to be fun after a 7 hour coach drive. Dropping some stuff off at lock ups on route may be the key to this hike

It is, however you look at it, a king-sized bollock ache. It's bloody miles, and that's without a queue at the other end to get through Gate A or D. I was overjoyed when I got a job at the festival for many reasons, one of them being a place in the hospitality car park. It cuts the journey from car to tent by about 70 per cent.

Great, I'll give that a go then. Because it's NOT going to be muddy :-)

I like your confidence and am too going to go that way.

Still might drop some stuff in the lock up en route though
