Yep I've received texts for all three tweets (including the reply).  

 

Definitely make sure the important info comes at the start of each tweet - as like you said the cut offs are a bit strange.

 

Maybe a template something along the lines of:

 

@secretglasto: [band name] - [stage] - [time]. [any further information].

hi there. what's your opinion about noel gallagher? in a interview a few months ago he said that he's gonna be at glastonbury, no matter what. if he's not getting invited he'll even play the spoken word tent or something like that. can't remember it well, but I thought he's 100% playing at glasto. he's playing in switzerland on friday and werchter on saturday. so, only sunday available. thought he's going to join kanye as he once said that kanyes album was the best record that year. but doesn't really seem to be there....

Who knows? I'm only posting solid info. I don't have much more info than all the other readers of this forum.

I wouldn't pin too many hopes on NME doing an article on stuff they want to happen, rather than what they think will happen.  Plus... it's NME!

In terms of instructions: 

 

1) Click link and create an IF profile 

2) Add the 'twitter' channel by authorising access to your twitter profile

3) Add the 'SMS' channel by entering your mobile phone number (remember to include the country code '0044' before) and then entering the PIN number you receive via text

4) Click add and the command should now be under 'my recipes'. As long as you have twitter notifications on for @secretglasto you should get a SMS every time that account tweets 

 

I'm pretty sure that's it. All I had to do anyway, although I had both an IF profile and the app downloaded beforehand (I'd just never used it). 

 

EDIT: Might be worth adding that if you're doing this via iOS/Android, you'll have to download the app first

Can i just ask a question...once this has been set up to receive the mobile notifications, and this mean sms; do you need to install the app on the phone still? Cheers again!

For some reason I haven't received an sms for your latest tweet yet. My phone's twitter notification worked for it but not the sms system...frustrating

Im awful with technology so probably an error on my behalf...but trying to set up the sms thing connected it to twitter but when i hit send pin i dont receive one.im in vodafone if that makes a difference? (Be gentle im a technophobe)

What were the first four digits of the phone number you entered?  Was this on Twitter or IFTTT?

not replies to the tweets, but any replies to those replies will (I hope that makes sense)

For IFTTT, yes.  Can't be turned off. To clarify, this is ONLY tweets sent BY @SecretGlasto, not TO @SecretGlasto.

 

I think you can turn off replies with the Twitter SMS notifications (if you can get them).

 

I'm trying not to reply to people at all, to not annoy the IFTTT folks.
