Seems to be around a 12 minute delay from the Tweet which is instant to the SG. I'll take that no bother.

Because the texts seem to cut off part of the tweet, is it worth having a recognisable pre-agreed format rather than the conversational tone? You could pin the tweet explaining the format so everyone can see it, and it could be something like:

 

Act name : Stage @ time on day (% certainty)

 

So we'd get texts like:

 

Bastille : William's Green @ 9:00 on Thursday (60%)

 

The Charlatans : Other Stage @ 11:00 Today (100%)

 

etc?

That's the plan once the festival starts.  I've been finding an excuse to say stuff because I keep getting asked to do test tweets. So, as a result most of the things I've been tweeting don't fit nicely into that format.

I'm not going to be chained to my computer on the weekend folks.  I also have a day job (although it's been suffering a lot this week!)

Yep, WG on Friday. I'll hold back the tweet until the day, but I think word will get round on without SecretGlasto's help. I've been told by two different people on Twitter apart from any info on here. The word is getting around.

Does anyone elses txt get cut off?  I'm using IFTTT and I removed the Tweet link from the recipe but it's not giving me the full Tweet

 

E.g. today I got "@secretglasto: Good luck to everyone travelling to the festival tomorrow.  Try not to look at your phone too much, but if you do see somethi?"

 

Anyone smarter than me know if I can make it send 2 messages or reduce the @secretglasto to @SG or something?

Do it thrugh your IFTTT account on the web mate, you can go in after you click on the recipe you added tweet to SMS and delete the bit of secretglasto down to SG:. Has worked fine for me so far.

Don't know if mentioned but courteeners main account and Liam fray on his personal one retweeted an nme countdown about secret gigs that suggested him doing acoustic somewhere (though they were down in the article as 'courteeners' not 'Liam fray') Might be crows nest or maybe it could be full band doing the main Thursday slot in Williams green? I reckon they got a heads up when they were interviewing them at Heaton park as they were the only realistic (and out of place/random) suggestion in the article
