Fires?

I imagine it's a topic that's been asked a lot but are you allowed to start a small fire at your campsite? I've heard that you aren't but I've also heard you don't get pulled up for bringing pyro (ie flares and smoke bombs) in so isn't that a bit contradictory?

No. Disposable BBQ in the fire lanes only. You might get away with a gas cooker but any kind of fire will get you a bollocking at best.

Where you heard that about flares? I always thought people got kicked out for that.

Flares are a definite no-no. I know a guy who was kicked out of the festival after setting one off at the Stone Roses. Phone out of battery and totally stranded. Ended up getting charged and fined at court.

 We got covered in the debris off it. If I'd had about 3 pints of wine and a shit load of beer less I'd have probably gone for him. They are pointless and dangerous and have no place at a festival.

Cheers for the replies. It was one of my mates said that they don't bother too much about pyro but he's obviously talking rubbish.
