They were exciting and novel when new and were/ are a great live act, when fresh.   There’s only so much you can do with that kind of sound/ dynamic and two members. What made them good is what severely limits their lasting appeal. Seen it once you’ve seen it all and it’s always diminishing returns from there   I imagine anyone discovering them now would still love them…for a bit

I'm hoping Magdalena Bay gets added to the Charli xcx day considering they have a couple random UK dats a few days before and are not back in the us until the 18th

I love circa waves, a band that is probably defined by their old songs, but I love their newer stuff on the last two albums

Maybe that's gonna be the new thing, doing like 4 smaller line up drops so they're always interesting and there's always something new to talk about, instead of having just two.
