Wooderson
Just can't see lacaazette leaving France the year before they host an international tournament. He will leave in 12 months. "Per£uade him."

Celery
Wenger didn't sign Henry Who did then? He was certainly the manager at the time. In fact, I'm sure it was a reunion after he'd managed him at Monaco Edited July 12, 2015 by Celery
thetime
LFC have £40m in the bank now. If they've a clue they should be offering Lyon €35m and Lacazette£120k per week tonight. Arsenal

pink_triangle
Indeed they did. But i bet Arsenal had more than one striker at the club at the time. And LVG is not a developer of players in the way Wenger is. Are you really saying Utd don't need another striker??? Depay won't be anything special next season and Di Maria has never been much of a goalscorer.Well the 2nd/3rd strikers at Chelsea, arsenal and city aren't anything special either, so he will be in good company. I think Man Utd would benefit ftom another striker if the right one becomes available. Then again considering Januzaj is the next big wonderkid of world football, maybe they could convert him!! Anderson19
Still early yet, but do you guys usually have a efests fantasy football league? If not anyone up for getting one up and running for the new season? Would just have to decide on which site to use? The Sun, Fantasy Premier League or Telegraph FF? Any interest? TheGayTent
Oh I don't know, I'm sure Liverpool will squander it on another Carroll. More likely to spunk it on 4 mid value crap players than 1 high value crap player...?
Celery
Serious comment, admittedly City are slightly harder to assess as Bony is a bit of an unknown quantity still at a top club. Fair enough. I'd still put Remy, Giroud (assuming Sanchez plays up top), Bony & Dzeko comfortably above Depay as backup strikers. Course he did - I confused him with bergkamp. Ignore me That was Rioch wasn't it. I'm sure he played Ian Wright on the wing for a bit. Nutter

kingcrawler
Not a bad few days for United if they've got Darmian, Schweinsteiger and Schneiderlin
Gucci Piggy
(assuming Sanchez plays up top) He doesn't, and he won't (as first choice). Anyway, Chelsea have Costa, Remy and Falcao, and City have Agüero, Bony, Jovetic and Dzeko. They definitely have good back ups. Arsenal only really have Giroud as an out and out striker, but have Walcott, Sanchez and Welbeck to cover the position, with plenty of cover on the wings to allow this. They all have good second and third options if their main strikers are out. United only have Wilson. Anyway if United have Schneiderlin then that, along with Schweinsteiger, is a great signing. My main issue with the Schweinsteiger signing was that it's a short term fix and could allow Morgan to go elsewhere. Now I see no negatives to the signing and that midfield is stacked. eFestivals
That's a great bit of business for City, sterling being the new ronaldo and all that. #stats He's the best prospect in Europe, and his stats better Skippy's at a young age even tho Sterling has played in a worse team. It might turn out to be a fuck up by City, but they'll get better value from Sterling than Utd got from RvP, that much is guaranteed. eFestivals
Qpr getting best part of 10m from the sterling deal. it's exactly £9M they get. 20%, less the fee that Liverpool paid for Sterling (£800k). Whatever else Liverpool might be doing wrong you can't knock them for player development in the last few seasons, they've picked up some very decent dosh via the players they've signed.
