I'm afraid you don't get to make the rules so Darren Ferguson counts.

SWP played in three quarters of Chelsea's league games the season he won the title. I think he earned his winners medal.

Wouldnt have thought anyone would need West Ham's yearly finishing positions to know we've never won the league.

I do get to make the rules, as it's my question. :P

And regarding the fergies, I was meaning as players - so it doesn't count as senior didn't.

And just to correct you, SWP started 15 times. A bit part ... but yes, it meets what I said. So thank you for providing an answer. :)

And yes, I did need to double-check. I didn't think WHU had, but I wasn't 100% sure - and as Lampard's were the only possibles that had occurred to me, I checked.

Think you'll find it's the Premier League that dictate who gets winners medals.

You may have meant as players but you didn't state it.

I didn't state that SWP started 27 games so no correction needed as what I said is true.

Happy Christmas ;)

As they're your rules does mine count?

I was specifically thinking the English top league, but you can have a point anyway. :P

---------------

Mid season top 4 prediction: the ones with the goals have it, I think - which means Spurs, City, Leicester and Arsenal.

I still reckon it's Arsenal's season.

It's hard not to feel bad for Remi Garde, I only hope both he and the owners knew what he was walking into and don't hold him responsible. He has inherited a terrible squad.

I have a bit of a soft spot for Villa but they've been on borrowed time and stinking up the league for a few years now.

LFC terrible and haven't a hope of CL qualification.

I have no idea what this means, but if you are suggesting that I am taking pleasure in the struggles of Liverpool Football Club then sir I am offended.

Liverpool are one of if not the most important and culturally significant football clubs in the country, and it's to their credit that this situation has in no way given them a sense of entitlement or air of superiority. Their fans and ex-pros are humble and realistic about their current situation, and understand that the ebb and flow of power in the domestic game means that teams will not always sit atop the pile as they once did. They do not cling to former glories or petty grudges in order to stay blinkered in the face of struggles, not that there ever are any. As a club they exude character and charm, always showing class and displaying wit and understanding. It's easy to see why they are loved by the vast majority of football fans and are nearly everyone's 'second-favourite team'.

And Madrid. Top scorers in La Liga, 4 points off the top, top scorers in the Champions League and top of their group. Just sacked Benitez it seems.

if they have, i guess they've got Jose back again.

It's odd timing with few likely alternative candidates, otherwise.

i think their youth coach moving up (zidane)

it seems like its more politics and some players ( Ronaldo in particular) hating Benitez rather than the results per se.
