If there is something in this Bale/De Gea deal, and Valdes is supposedly on his way (what's the latest on that?), then who is United's keeper going to be?

Bale won't come this summer, De Gea will leave on a free next season.

Romero supposed to be in the frame as valdes replacement, although the amount of games a number 2 will get we might aswel just have lindegard as number 2.

Do we think Di Maria will be off to PSG then? Didn't Woodward say it wouldn't be happening the other day? Either way I hope he doesn't go, everyone knows his class, he should be wanting to silence the doubters after a sub par first season in England.

People seem to be getting over excited by this surprise, hey some media said lvg promised a surprise.

If people actually saw the interview it wasn't like this at all.

Yeah they do love to blow the story up. Surely no one truly believes we're going to sign Bale/Ronaldo

Mitrovic is a great signing. Really excited about that one.

 

Still need at least one CB though, I'd have said 2 but Lascalles has now officially arrived after signing so hopefully he can play a good number of games and improve. We need one who's ready to perform in most games though, Taylor/Williamson/Colo are one good CB between them considering inconsistent form of Colo and injuries to Taylor.

Yeah, 24 hours ago it was just rumours and possiblys but it sounds pretty close now. Striker, goalscoring creative midfielder and CB. The 3 things we most needed. No sign of a major out yet either.

Ha! Trust you to have a dig. Want some salt for that chip on your shoulder? I watched the press conference after the game last night and they were repeatedly refusing to answer any questions about Stones. Disgusting behaviour!!!

Massive issues at Anfield re: transfers. But to compare them to this situation with Stones is really pushing it.

I'm not comparing to any specific situation. I'm just agreeing with PT that virtually all clubs are arrogant, self-involved and twattish in their transfer management.

TBF when you look at football as a whole it's rather perplexing its the most popular sport in the world. Its so easy to hate.........

 

It has to be something to do with participation. Its the most inclusive sport in the world. There's a reason why 'soccer' is the most played sport in America when its not considered an American sport, no other sport can you play it with 2 or 22 players (with every number in between) and all you need is a ball
