The only loser is Madrid in the end the day. De Gea will still get his move to Madrid next summer, United will now get top dollar but Madrid will have to pay up.

I reckon the 'top dollar' Utd will get will be the same fee as they'd agreed last week.

I don't think the fact of the new contract will see the fee increase, but what it stops him being free to Real.

The only real difference is that Utd get to keep him for another year.

Dunno, all depends how Casillas does at Porto - even then the step down to Portuguese football must surely be a factor. The end of his time at Madrid damaged his reputation a bit too.

Its not effected his reputation enough to cost him his national team place. Unless he completely messes up for Spain (and there isnt much time left to do this) its hard to see how he loses his place.

If he didn't sign, they wouldn't of got that figure next summer though would they?

I wish they would try starting theo and giroud in a game. I sit there watching arsenal and say 'giroud would have done better there' when Walcott's on and 'that's where walcott offers more' when giroud is playing. A hybrid of the two would be ideal.

I know both scored today but really both could have scored 3

From he highlights it looked that the difference was in the finishing. Liverpool desperately need Firmino to come off, if they are going to kick on this season.

I dunno. The best finish was Beneteke's, by a long shot. I can't remember seeing an overhead that good in England, ever. Shame its been mostly lost because the result went the other way.

Firmino was nowhere yesterday, but looked better in the other games I've seen. Did he have internationals, so was jetlagged?

Didn't matter who had the best finish, only who had the most. From the highlights it looked an evenish game, but man u took the few opportunities they had.

2-0 up, both great goals then Leicesters good subs and our bad ones and seeming to completely switch off and im gutted.

Fair Play to Leicester they turned it up a notch. We just looked clueless when they did. Richards and Lescott needed to be more commanding at the back, Bacuna and Amavi got exploited and scared of being sent off, Sanchez went from being brilliant to looking like a headless chicken. Big loss when Gil went off but he wasn't fit enough to last the match but Gestede and Ayew were not in the game whatsoever when they came on. Very disappointing,
