ThomThomDrum
It will be interesting to see if FSG give Klopp any money in Jan and if so how much. And it will be interesting to see what he can do with it and if he has the midas touch. He got Lewandowksi, Reus and Hummels each for less than £5million.............that aint too shabby.............but he may have stinker buys too i'm not aware of

I can't say I saw much to impress me with Markovic, but then again I don't feel he got much of a chance for someone who'd developed a good rep over the previous seasons elsewhere and was a stonking £20M. (just looked on wiki and it says it's a season's loan, so I'm not sure if they'd be able to call him back).

He obviously had a say but the reporter kept making the point that he left the job of finding players to his scouting team and just trusted what they brought him - for example Kagawa was plucked from the Japanese 2nd division - of which I doubt Klopp spends much time watching. Will be interesting how many backroom changes are made and whether he goes with the same approach.
Chris Lfc
I think Klopp will try things out first so I don't really expect the first few games to be as much as what others will think they're. Every team right now is having problems and we still have different cup games to play so this was the best time to get Klopp in ( if Rodgers was still in we probably would of been out of those cups lol )

GlastoSimon
So he's signed the deal, how odd is it that the metro known this quite beforehand lol The Metro have to get something right some day I guess. Excellent appointment for Liverpool, looking forward to seeing Klopp manage in the Prem. Think with the others underperforming a bit (bar City I suppose) it could make the 'battle for CL football' interesting.

Or it could take him a lot longer to adapt and it will take us another season, but lets see.
DomDom1984
Jurgen Klopp strikes me as the sort who will definitely have a spectacular breakdown at a press conference. Looking forward to it already. Plus, he might actually do a decent job with them.
Chris Lfc
Atleast he will be more aggressive performance wise than Rodgers, even when we lost a game by over 2 goals EVERY SINGLE TIME it was just "oh we was good we can do better" "we showed great character" he never said "we did bad we need to improve in this" Van gaal and mourinho spoke their minds and when their team does bad they actually mention it, but with Rodgers it was all positive even a heavy loss. DomDom1984
James Forrest shouldn't be getting picked for Scotland at all, but now it appears we're putting him in the starting XI. He's an absolute shambles of a winger, and I can only assume he has files on each of his managers who are both blind to the fact that he's absolutely shit. eFestivals
Let you off with that one haha.there's absolutely no way that FSG would have sat around thinking "we'll sack rodgers in a couple of weeks, but we won't do anything about his replacement until after we've sacked him".That Metro story just looked too-true as soon as Rodgers had been sacked. kingcrawler
James Forrest shouldn't be getting picked for Scotland at all, but now it appears we're putting him in the starting XI. He's an absolute shambles of a winger, and I can only assume he has files on each of his managers who are both blind to the fact that he's absolutely shit. I'm not a fan of Forrest but he's not been that bad anytime I've seen him this season, although he's not done enough to deserve a start. I get that we need pace out wide but I'd rather have Johnny Russell playing than Forrest. Harsh on McArthur being dropped too given he's arguably one of our better players. Gucci Piggy
Really like Klopp; now I definitely hope Chelsea continue to fuck up and Liverpool get top 4. Getting top 4 ahead of United will 've fine, as well.
eFestivals
Looking at klopps record, one thing that Liverpool will need is patience.most peeps would say the players are under-performing anyway, and there's often a decent bounce from a new manager. That might be all they need to get going.
