Press Camping Help (Urgent)

Not sure if this is the best place to ask for advice on this but here goes.

I've recently been issued with two press passes to cover the weekend for a magazine but , on reading the small print on the email, the passes don't include any camping access.

Travelling to and from the site each day is out of the question because of the distance and the fact we'll be getting the citylink coach.

Is there any way we can be allowed a spot on the campsite or any way round this problem at all?

Cheers

Yeah i did mate. All they said was that press usually stay off site so that wasn't much help :/

All your press wristband gives you access to is the media area and out into the arena to review the bands (or escorted into the pit if you're a photographer).

The press runners arrange daily trips into the campsite for the photographers to get some shots, but your wristband won't let you into there on your own.

Try getting in touch with Material (who run the press area for T in the Park).  They might be able to help you out.

Unless they've put in restrictions around the festival you can legally camp anywhere in Scotland. Just pitch your tent up on some hill land near the festival and go in and out of site each night.

Yeah i suppose we could. It's just money really is tight and i hadn't originally budgeted for extra camping costs.

What chance the security would be sympathetic and allow us into the campsite if we explained our situation?

It'll just be me, my girlfriend and a 2 man pop up tent we need a space for
