As we're only 3 weeks away, thought it might be good to start a thread on booze deals for drinking in the campsites (cough, cough, wink, wink).

 

Here's my input;

 

Asda (England & Wales only - if you're coming from Scotland, buy your booze south of the border!)

12 x 440ml Carling

 

Should be available up to the end of the month.

20 strongbow 12 quid

10 carling cider 6 quid...yip six.

Now you can argue that both these taste of cats piss but I like the cider when living in the fields and a few of these offsets the fiver a pint situation.

I also got a couple of bottles of Amsterdam vodka????? A couple of weeks back for a tenner on some introductory deal at morrisons and the Morgans rum was 11 quid 70cl in asda...I got a few of those but I've still got to negotiate wickerman before kc so will be keeping an eye out for deals :-)

Morrisons are doing 20 carling 440ml at £12 and 20 carslberg 440ml at £11

 

I stocked up when it was a tenner for 20 3 months ago.  although I seem to have forgotten where I kept it ;-(

For anyone who gets through a lot of gin I recommend the Aldi own Oliver Cromwell at 9.99 for a 70cl bottle.

How much do you think we will need to bring for the 4 days? I guess it depends on how much you can drink and everyone is different. But as a minimum how much would you load up?

I drink mostly in the arena at the bars so only need some liquids for washing down lunches or when we pop back for a quick break. Take about 30 beers (Mrs has a couple too) + wife takes about 10-15 cans of gintonics.

I take a few crates but usually end up taking some back as I tend to drink in the arena as well. I've had a baby/ toddler with me the last few years so drinking loads wasn't really on my agenda.

What is the price a pint inside arena it was £4.50 last year at Leeds fest if it's that expensive I will bring a few crates

Probably around £4 to £4.50 depends what your drinking

Real beer was £3.60 last year which is I think is pretty reasonable, I pay £3.10 at my local... though admittedly don't often spend the best part of 50hours there over a weekend! Definitely adds up!

If anyone's after cider I've just picked a couple of crates of carling cider up at asda. £9 for 18 cans, seems a steal to me and can't imagine they'll stay at that for long.

The strongbow dark fruit 10 packs also come with 2 free cans of the citrus variety for £8 as well

Good shout ramragon - they rarely (if ever) get below 50p a can so thats a great deal.

Had to reload on the carling cider. Mice must have got into my kendal supplies. Still 6 quid for 10 at morrisons. Noticed they have got some good deals on the Havana rum as well.

Bargain Booze are doing Carling Cider for £1.99 for 4...just got a slab of 24 for just under £12
