At the moment Roundhouse has gigs booked for September so its up in the air.

Just wandering, has it ever been anywhere else? I'm sure the Forum or Scala could fill in. 

 

My guess is this year they'll rebrand it as the Beats Radio (Or whatever it's called) festival to promote that brand, with Zane effectively doing the coverage of it.

They have gigs in September as well. I don't think the gigs booked for Roundhouse would have taken precedence over the usual deal they get from iTunes so I don't see any reason for a work-around or anything. I think it's very likely that it's just been quietly shelved.

I'm an optimist

I wouldn't put it past them to have every night in a different country to be honest, to tie in with the 'global' radio station.

I would be surprised if they put so much money into relaunching their music platform and then dropped their main live music event. They only gave it a twin event last year, it'd be pretty drastic to go from doing that to abandoning it altogether within 18 months.

Yeah you'd have thought Apple Music + iTunes Festival would be a pretty easy PR op.

I did email to find out, the response I got was;

As far as we know , ITunes is happening at the Roundhouse this year , probably in September again,

But we have no further details just now ,

If it wasn't happening, I reckon they would of said something by now. Also, last years first announcement was 21st July, so it could happen on Monday.

Will be gutted if this doesn't happen. Such a good opportunity to see world class acts at a great venue! Managed to see Kasabian, Paolo Nutini, The Script, Ben Howard and a couple of others last year.
