Where to camp?

Hi guys

Jusy want to ask which site you would recommend for us.

We are a mixed group aging between 30-50 although not rowdy we do like a laugh.

Anyway we are having a debate weather to go for general camping or the Wolf field.

Some advice would be greatly appreciated

You'd probably be best off in general camping rather than the wolf's wood but it's up to you. Depends how much sleep you want and wether you'd be likely to throttle someone who was still partying at 5 am !

Generals still lively, the shires not a bad place either, not silent like a library but your gonna have a decent nights kip after about 1am

Sorry to be a pain but I'm a Festival virgin, got my tickets arriving thursday

for my 14yr old daughter also new to festivals and myself a young  50 year old, but a bit apprehensive of where to camp etc... any help much appreciated

I'd be tempted to go to the shires then, but basically anywhere but the wolfe woods you'll both be sound! not too close to a pathway and not too close to a toilet/ shower block could be an idea!

I'd head for the shire, be much better for a father daughter festival where your not likely to be mortified by a drunk couple going at it a few tents down !

The shires not too quiet but won't be over run by drunk people partying till sun up

Hey there...think I will head for The Shire too (if for no other reason than its name lol) and I'll have my 3 teens (14 to 16yrs) with me...never been to KC before but have done a few other festies...pop in and say hi if you like :)

we were like that first time (4 kendals ago) didn't really know what to expect, after saying for years that there would be no way you'd ever get me in a tent I relented and bought the four of us (wife + 2kids) tickets, pretty much because I was stumped for Mrs Bottonrobs b'day presents and the line-up was amazing.we stayed in main camping that year in a tiny tent that leaked when we had rain, although luckily there was only the odd shower that year. we got the bug bigtime and have booked our tickets on first release day ever since! you will both have a ball!

We're similar to Bottonrob, first went 5 years ago as it was a compromise for my wife who would find glastonbury too daunting. She loved it and we go back every year sorting tickets on release day and paying over 11 months to make life easier.

You'll love it !

First timer here am expecting a similar experience to Hop Farm Latitude and Guilfest my previous weekend festivals - just need to avoid the all night party animals and the teenagers let loose for the first time as do need some sleep !

Easily done! Not camping near the arena or going to the dance tents and you'll barely know they are there apart from kodaline, snoop dogg and maybe the vaccines I'm guessing.
