Emperors entrance is at the side next to where Sailor Jerry's used to be. They have 2 chaps on security but doesn't seem to as penetrative a search as main gate!

Gates open at 9:00 so if you're there bang on time I can't imagine that there wouldn't be queues and a bit of a rush to start with. Should calm down though and you won't be waiting too long even in the biggest queues

just scored 2 x emperors tix for £25 each. one mans loss is another mans gain. hope its worth it, as it doesn't sound like any difference to normal camping by the sounds of this thread..

Word of advice, family camping is the new Emporers, which is becoming a place for those that don't want their all night partying and anti social behaviour disturbed by teenagers.

Word of advice, family camping is the new Emporers, which is becoming a place for those that don't want their all night partying and anti social behaviour disturbed by teenagers.

I noticed this - we were lucky in where we camped but to be fair I think that's indicative of the whole festival this year compared to previous years. it used to be two festivals where you had the teenagers getting wrecked but generally staying out the way of the more chilled older / musically inclined crowd.

This year it felt like the older crowd were behaving no differently to the teenagers AND the size of bands led to the teenagers leaving the glow tent and coming to the stages.
