Free Water?

Hi, a silly question I fear(!)....but the KC website states that there is 'free water' in the camping fields....is this is the form of stand pipes?

Not a silly Q at all, I was just about to ask the same thing. I'm guessing it is standpipes. At Larmer tree I paid £5 for a bottle and it was filled with filtered ice cold water whenever I wanted. Run by Franks Water. I'm hoping for something similar but highly doubt it!

Ahh, that sounds amazing! Fingers crossed....but if not, standpipe water it is! :-)

Yep. I have packed a tiny concentrated juice as standpipe water doesn't always taste the best. Never been to Kendal tho so it may be good.

There are water points around the edges of all the camp areas roughly every 100yarda or so. They are double sided wash basins with taps over them and then separate taps behind each

There is the usual camping taps etx but I have noticed bottle refill points popping up, not your usual standpipes - possibly for the bottles that united utilities will be handing out
