Volunteering at Reading/ Leeds

If anyone is looking for some voluntary work for a good cause, and a free ticket to Reading or Leeds then we may have just the thing for you!

 

So, a little about us:

 

Music Angel are originally from Scandinavia and will this year be working in partnership with Festival Republic to provide our mobile charging charity project at Reading & Leeds Festivals. We will be selling and exchanging portable rechargeable batteries, useable with any device powered by USB.

 

The project exists to fund a charity project giving light to the children of Rwanda, using the exact same batteries that are sold at the festival. The charitable project managed by Music Angel Foundation will begin firstly by installing solar panels on the roofs of Rwandan schools, with school children then being given a battery and USB LED-light, working towards two outcomes. Firstly, we expect children to attend school regularly to charge their batteries, and secondly the use of LED light over traditional kerosene lamps holds significant health and environmental benefits.

 

After dark the LED-lamps will provide reading and working lights for both children and adults who can extend their working days, leading to children attending school more regularly to charge the battery. EndFragment

 

So how can you help?

 

We need volunteers to work on one of our 5 stalls across Reading & Leeds Festivals, in return we can promise a fun and enjoyable working environment with like minded people, a free ticket to the festival when not on shift, one hot meal per shift worked, a space in our secure crew camping & unlimited mobile charging throughout the event!

 

All we ask of you is that you complete three 8 hour shifts throughout the festival, and that you pay a refundable security deposit of £200. (We would love not to have to do this but it is just not possible! It will be refunded as soon as you complete your allocated shifts! See T&C)

 

We would love to have you on board, we are a tight knight group here at Music Angel and are looking for more people to share our passion and do good things for a good cause whilst having a good time!
