Guest camping

Anyone been guest camping before? If so, how strict is it/is it worth it/what are the showers like etc.....

Think I'v got that one, VIP ticket. Heard the showers and toilet are meant to be pretty cool, washed every half hour(?) etc... all word of mouth.

As for camping (also word of mouth) I think it has more room to pitch your tent, and possibly family friendly. I'll be camping in red however, as I'm only one with VIP and don't fancy being a loner for 5 days, lol.

It's all right, I much prefer the regular campsite though @ Reading. Prob similar at Leeds.

It's pretty good. More room to pitch your tents. Access to guest bar. Cleaner toilets. Shorter queues for showers. No queuing to get in or out of arena. Easier to get your own drinks in although over the years it has got stricter.

A bit more space for camping, quite a nice bar with a number of benches, decent toilets, separate car park, much closer to the main site so not a trek back to your tent.

Does anyone know how far away the guest car parking is from the guest camping area?

 

Also, someone mentioned nicer shower facilities... do these (or anywhere else around the festival site) have hair drying/straightening facilities? (I'm guessing it won't as it's a festival after all, but thought I'd just ask...)

There was a hair straightening place in main arena in past but can't remember seeing it recently. It's about a 5 min walk to car. N all flat too :-)
