Hi, can someone help me? Next year i become 18 and i want to backpack trough europe for 2-3 months (juli-september). I want to combine it with festivals. I want to do sziget for sure. But what other festivals should i defenitely do?

Pukkelpop is great, but you really can't compare it with Sziget. When I did both in 2013 Pukkelpop after Sziget seemed so limited for me. Maybe Ozora. It's in Hungary as well, I've never been there but everybody told me only good things about it.

No but i'm doing both in 2016  

I wouldn't trade Sziget for anything else though! I only go to Exit because I can do it along with Sziget! You will not regret it, we were 2 in 2014, 6 this year and I've convinced about 20 people to go next year!

Actually a shot of vodka or of palinka is 3€, so for getting drunk I suggest that. For taking alcohol in depends on the security man/woman you find at the entrance. If you manage to hide a bottle in your trousers you can do it but a lot depends also on the weather. Last year there were 35-40° during daytime and we were all in swimsuits

No problem man! I just took two small bottles of Jager for the fun of it, and once some wine in a juice bottle. We saw a woman getting caught after sneaking a big bottle of vodka into a very large bread! Vodka can be nice mixed inside a watermelon

Yes first time ! I already made The Main square, Les vieilles charrues (France) and Pukkelpop so I am really looking forward this one.

Ok Some of my bottle of waters will defintyvly contain some vodka even if it seems really cheap

Even tho still no headliner (No way that Bastille is), this is shaping up to be a festival exactly to my taste. Oh yeah.

Anyway, still no "giant" headliner. Don't want to believe they're struggling. They gonna come with a boom after the ticket prices increase.

I think it will be Red Hot Chili Peppers. They tried to get them in 2012, 2007 and 2006 (I know that for a fact, not from Sziget but from the band, too bad I don't have that connection on this tour also ) and it failed from various reasons and RHCP haven't played there since 1996.

This will be my sixth straight, only I only made it for one day last year for Interpol and Foals.

I'm going this year because my mate wants to see Sigur Ros and M83 are playing on my birthday. CBA camping this year though.

Devastating news today. This is the White Duke playing at Sziget 1997 where he also recorded a live album called "Outside in Budapest".

You're not allowed to bring your alcohol into the island yes! You can try to sneak some in but it's not necessary as it's very cheap onsite!

Saw you're from UK, so you have to consider that prices at Sziget are very different than festivals in UK. At Sziget 2015 a glass of 0,5l of beer was 2.2€ (1.7£) while, for example, a pint of beer was between 3.4 and 3.8£ at Reading & Leeds 2015 or even 4,5£ at Glasto.

Really easy, online (and you pick it up onsite) or at the Auchan not far away! We opted for the second option this year
