Scratch that I've seen the map now. Not even green. Same as last time.

It's still a provisional map isn't it? There's still loads missing off of it that usually gets put onto the map, so it could have sold better than last year for all we know.

Moose Blood's album is pretty damn decent. God knows why they haven't been booked for the festival this year? I'm expecting them next year for sure on the Main Stage. They will blow up big between now and then I think.

I was surprised, always presumed they'd be dead certs. Reckon they could end up with a good slot on the main next year- similar to where Don Broco were in '13 and Marmozets in '15- already gained a huge following.

Yeah I would put them at around fourth up on the Main by next year.

Kendrick's not coming back other than to (co) headline unless he releases an album that flops, which I can't see happening. Deftones below Royal Blood looks ridiculous imo, that's not to say it won't happen though, could easily happen. Placebo are the completely wrong act for R&L these days, especially for a slot that big. Frank Ocean would sub rather than be in the tent I think.

Hope you're right about Death Grips, got into those the day after the Manchester tickets went on sale, which is annoying.

Neither Frank Ocean nor Bon Iver would play the tent; especially not co-headlining it.

Kendrick will surely headline when he returns, as said above. Doubt he'll be active next Summer anyway.

Spoke to my source yesterday about the Blink 182 booking - he said that the contract has already been signed for reading for next year. Just passing on what I hear...

although their new album has (for some reason) gained them some newfound success, this is still a ridiculous booking if true

It'll have to be co-headlining if anything

i don't see why. they're more popular now than they were in 2014 when they last headlined and have a new album to promote which is more than they had in 2014. it's not like Biffy who's popularity has sunk since they last headlined. i doubt they'll be co-headlining

I'm just thinking of the main age groups to go to reading. Although one day with Blink-182 headlining will draw some of the older groups to buy day tickets?

Blink 3 times in 8 years ffs. That's poor.. and I like Blink. They've confirmed UK tour dates for next summer so it's not like they'll even be a massive demand for them. I noticed You Me At Six are active again and seemingly hinting at a new album, seems like an inevitable booking.

Don't suppose your source has heard any other tidbits about next year, or just the blink-182 info?

I was going for YMAS to sub Blink at Download, but I can see it happening at R&L if that's the case with Blink. YMAS are undoubtedly big enough to sub now.

30 Seconds To Mars / You Me At Six / Run The Jewels

Kasabian / Royal Blood / Catfish & The Bottlemen

Blink-182 / A Day To Remember / Weezer

aye You Me At Six subbing Blink seems too obvious to not happen. was gonna say Blink > You Me At Six > A Day To Remember but then realised that's 2014's Blink day with Macklemore removed

Seems like a pretty agreeable prediction as of right now, although this is R&L tho, so no doubt they'll be a few unexpected bookings - I certainly wouldn't put my money against You Me At Six getting billed as a headliner after this year. Green Day's new singles out tonight isn't it? My expectations are pretty low but I'd be interested how well it's received.

Changed it to 30STM headlining as I think IOW may finally bag Green Day, they've been after them for ages supposedly. You Me At Six co-headlining wouldn't surprise me too much, they're a consistent arena band with a large following so it makes sense. YMAS / Royal Blood seem a plausible set of co-headliners.
