I know it's not a big consideration for some of you but the dance line up this year is superb. Great mix of live acts and DJs across the whole weekend and today's announcement has only added to the quality. MK, Joris Voorn, Loco Dice and Nina Kraviz all on Thursday will probably mean I won't venture too far from the Boiler. Been a big fan of Detroit Swindle for a while now so can't wait to see their live show.

Kink and Scuba will both be 'must sees' on Friday and Tchami sounds decent too. Absolutely made up for Eric Prydz on Saturday though - just announcing him on his own would have been enough to get me there!

It's worth remembering that this is now just over half of the line up. Granted a lot of the rest will be Belgian acts (not a bad thing of course!) but still plenty of room for further adds.

The dance line up has been consistently superb for the last few years now. Goes without saying that that's one area that Pukkelpop gets bang on every year (always room for a bit more classic house for me though)

I'm assuming that Eric Prydz will clash with LCD or hopefully OATW. They should have shaken things up and had EP as a closer instead of Chase and Fucking Status.

Still no obvious sub for LCD on the Saturday or in fact Thursday. Could be one of the bands from RW I suppose unless or they could be saving the spots if they need to draft in some late additions to boost flagging sales.

EODM - Rihanna - Die Antwoord would be horrific.

So, been doing a bit of homework re: stages. Obviously won't be correct as a lot of artists crossover so they could play a number of the stages, i.e the Marquee and Club, and the Dance Hall and the Costello could host a lot of the same names.

We have 35 for Thursday, 47 for Friday and 44 for Saturday.

Thursday - Main stage, Marquee and Club I reckon are pretty much full. Main spaces to be filled are the Dance Hall and Costello with a couple more names to be added to the Boiler and Shelter.

Friday -

Main stage, Boiler and Shelter all but done. Marquee looks light and the others just need a couple of names each.

Saturday -

Main stage is very short of bands. I have LCD, OATW as definites, unless they decide to go for Soulwax as a Sub. They could put The Temper Trap or Damian Marley on but I see these more in the Marquee. Marquee and Club is pretty much filled. A couple of names needed in the other stages, Dance Hall and the Shelter being the ones in most need of names.

Wablief is virtually empty so far I think for all 3 days.

Damian Marley will play on the main stage or maybe dancehall, Biffy Clyro maybe before LCD? And in the end, you never really can tell which act plays were, only the shelter names are quiet obvious. Last year Sigma played main stage, so actually every live D'n'b act can be in the main stage, but also rap/hiphop,

So who do we think will be the three Marquee headliners? Wolfmother are currently the only possibility for me on Thursday but Friday could be between Halsey and M83. Saturday is one of Biffy or The Subs, seeing as it's their only Belgian show. Outside chance they might throw Soulwax in there but think they will play before LCD on the Main.

Looking at the spread of DJs, I reckon there will be quite a few in the Dance Hall and Castello this year. Hopefully they'll stick Martin Solveig in the Dance Hall on Thursday and leave the Boiler free for all the techno DJs. Not sure what they'll do on Friday as there's quite a few options? Sub Focus and DJ Fresh are both big enough to headline either the Boiler and/or Dance Hall (the latter did this a couple of years back) but so are Noisia. They've put Tchami in the same font size on the new poster as Soulwax and DJ Fresh so he'll no doubt be in the mix somewhere. Can't see any of the live acts announced for that day headlining the Dance Hall, although Bob Moses, Kink and Craig David's TS5 will all likely play on that stage. Really hope they stick Scuba and Seth Troxler in the Castello for the late night slot, despite this meaning a probable clash with The Chems. Saturday is all about Eric Prydz now for me - think he'll headline the Dance Hall against Pendulum in the Boiler. Can't see them having DJs close out the DH on all three nights though so hopefully this means we've still got at least one big live act to come.

Anyway, just ordered my ticket so bring it on!!!!

King Gizzard will be fun.

Think that Sharon Jones and the Dap Kings will provide the 'Atomic Bomb' moment of 2016. Great musicians by the sound of it.

Like the sound of Detroit Swindle too.

Plenty to go at from this year's line up, but I always crave a couple of bands with a bit of proven star quality and loads of hits like a Blondie, Beck or a Chic.

Bloc Party - M83 - Soulwax (or something TBC) is my guess. The previous Facebook header mentioned the biggest artists of the first announcement, and Wolfmother/Biffy/Halsey weren't even among them. And even as a Belgian exclusive The Subs are just a Wablief header.

I have a hunch feeling that either Foals (Marquee header) or Last Shadow Puppets (MS sub) will be announced after Rock Werchter sells out.

There's a very good chance that Iggy Pop will be announced. Playing Rock en Seine the week after and Chokri shared one of his posts on FB. Could well be a Marquee headliner or a sub. Wouldn't be surprised to see him headline the Marquee when Rihanna is on with a guest appearance from Josh Homme to play his new stuff.

1) Agreed, could be our crew's "Goat" moment (half pissed, freaky dancing without a care in the world whilst our respective girlfriends looked on, bemused by us wigging out like it's 1967 San Francisco)

2) Saw Sharon Jones and The Dap Kings at Glastonbury a couple of years ago as part of the Daptone Supersoul Review. Ace. Right at the top of my must see list.

3) Absolutely hit the nail on the head there. Jurassic 5 last year case in point. Best set of the festival.

You may well be right, although I see Bloc Party as an early evening Main Stage act (probably because I'm hoping someone else gets announced for the Marquee!). I'm hoping we get Jagwar Ma, New Order and Foals from RW but doubt we'll get all three.

I've got the feeling that we will get Sum 41 announced for Thursday at Main Stage after their performance at Groezrock at the end of April. They have a gap in their summer schedule that day and they are the kind of band that PKP is booking in the last years for "rocking" the Main Stage.

I'm wondering where will Refused play this year. I am almost sure that Opeth will headline Shelter Stage on friday (the slot Refused got last time they played in 2012), so maybe Refused will get a early slot at the Main Stage? Imo, they and Biffy are the only "rock" bands big enough to play in the Main Stage (Last year we got Linkin Park, Offspring, Limp Bizkit, Dropkick Murphys... at the Main Stage, but this year I can't hardly find any rock band to play there)

Anyone gonna try piece together a clash finder or too early at this stage?

It's imposible to predict in which stage will play each band (except the obvious). For example last time Thrice played, they open the Main Stage at 12:30pm, and maybe this year they will play in Shelter Stage in the evening... Also, 40% os the line-up is still TBA.

In mid june, when the stage splits are released it's quite easy to imagine the clashes as Main Stage and Shelter clash; also Marquee and Club clash. Also Club and Main never clash, same as Shelter and Marquee for dividing the crowds during the fest all over the fields

Coachella stream is now live. Currently watching The Front Bottoms, who I quite liked the sound of anyway when I listened to their albums. Gonna try and stay up for Robert Delong, Bob Moses and then Foals, although they aren't scheduled to come on until 2am our time. Got a fairly busy day tomorrow as off to see the relegation 6 pointer that is Norwich v Sunderland and then a family meal straight after for my mums birthday. Should probably call it a day now and have a decent nights sleep but that's not looking likely!

Fair number of PKP bands on the live stream over the weekend. Always a bit of a conundrum though as I want to check out bands like LCD and M83 but then remember that they play pretty much the same set all summer so there's a danger of spoiling the surprise.

New names on Friday, as Chokri revealed on a talk show yesterday evening.

Some years we got some names coming from Groezrock the 1st day of that festival (this friday). A couple yeaars ago we got NOFX, PUP and some others... Once Sum 41 is ruled out, maybe we can get Frank Turner from Groez line-up and maybe Frank Carter again (he played last year)

I don't think there will be a (big) overlap with Groezrock this year. Rancid, Sum41, Frank Turner, Frank Carter and No Use For A Name are already ruled out, and that's the majority of the bigger names at Groez.

Expecting a batch with mostly Club and Marquee names like Diiv, Lush, Julia Holter, DMA's and Eagulls. With Haim and possibly Sia/Fall Out Boy to cater to the mainstream audiences.

I think that insead Fall Out Boy, they will announce Good Charlotte. Cheaper than the former, they were supposed to play the storm year some months before calling it quits, and they've just reunited. It's the typical PKP booking and maybe Reading/Leeds had payed for annoucing them first.

Why are Frank Turner and Frank Carter ruled out?
