Alcohol for under 18s

This has probably been asked 100 times but some of my friends aren't 18 for a few more months and are obviously still planning on taking in booze - I'm aware as since i'm 18 myself I can carry some of theirs in but surely not all of it. How likely are you to get searched/have alcohol taken off you if you're under 18? Should they make an effort to hide it (put in soft drink bottles/orange juice cartons etc)?

Make sure there's no glass for starters. Likely to walk straight through but to be safe just stick cans or bottles at bottom of your back wrapped in a towel, t-shirt, underwear or inside shoes if your bringing a spare pair. Stick a few other items on top of that and it's to much effort for most to troll through. Also walk through as a group rather than individually, that's always something people seem to say when this topic comes up...

Been the past two years and I wasn't 18 then and I got it through just fine. They won't confiscate it trust me, they're looking for items that actually may pose a threat i.e. glass, illegal drugs and some gas canisters. Last year I was searched on the first time I went through, then I came through with two crates no problem and on the Thursday I took one of my bags mates through as he was going through ticket exchange and I have got checked and they even took the alcohol out and they didn't ask anything.
