If the fest has a chance to book Birber instead of Kanye it's a no brainer.

They should book Kanye if they want to save face a bit, Kanye and one decent guitar band headliner (not killers or kings of Leon again) would do the festival very well.

Dont think Biever is a good shout tbh, but booking Kanye would be a fairly strong booking for V. Can't think who they could book for the other day though, KOL and Killers are the more obvious choices. Don't really know who would be available. Coldplay wouldnt lower themselves to V, Muse would be good but I think its the same scenario. Florence and Mumfords are pretty much ruled out, Kasabian better be ruled out, unless V go for a DJ headliner again and put Guetta up there.

Is Avicii around? I thought he'd be headlining tbh.

Stone Roses are very possible, too.

Avicii is certainly around, he is doing EDC at Milton Keynes on July 9th, and will probably be headlining Creamfields, so V could be in between them for him. Stone Roses could be a possibility, but V had them so SR have crossed them off their lost, dont know if theyll want to come back to V

I doubt The Stone Roses would have V Festival on any sort of list of places to tick off. If V offer them more money than any other English fest they'll be there.

If money were the only reason bands played festivals, V wouldn't be in the predicament it is. It can apparently throw more money at acts than most other competing festivals, and still we get Killers and Kings of Leon because they presumably cant fill the other headlining slot with any better, more original band. Could almost see V throwing money at The Libertines to headline, now they would do V just for the money :P

The Stone Roses are blatantly just in it for the money though. They've returned twice in the space of three years with absolutely no reason to do so, after they said they'd never get back together.

Since the last time the stone roses played. It used to happen quite a bit before then

It did but tbf The Roses was a massive deal that was probably a case of you can do what you want as long as we get you. Obviously they couldn't just play every UK fest like the same year.

Any chances of Radiohead or LCD Soundsystem, they have been announced a few times in recent days and could perhaps restore a bit of credibility to V

No chance whatsoever of either.

V don't need credibility. They book the most popular acts out there as that's what will sell tickets for them.

yeah any credibility V had within the festival scene has long been trampled on with the last few year's lineups, although they're clearly trying to cater to a totally different crowd in the now much overstuffed festival scene so fair play to them. i'd never think of attending, but know a lot of people who it's the perfect festival for and would be insanely confused if Radiohead and LCD Soundsystem appeared on the festivals lineup in headliner/high positions
