Oh fine, I'll bite. Talk me through the logic here. If he's been banned (erroneously or otherwise, it's not really relevant) for inciting homophobia, how does this fit with it being the fault of socially conservative sociopaths?

Um, because it's a civil liberties issue. I mean, obviously I have no way of knowing what the exact situation is, but up until May the Home Office had some Lib Dems in it. Seems plausible to me that they could have been stopping Tyler being banned until they all got voted out and the Tories got a majority.

I never said socially conservative, just sociopaths.

Also, never knew until now, given you can't rep his posts, that Neil can actually downvote people. Hilarious.

Between this, Corbyn, the SNP, austerity and noise abatement orders I'm starting to wonder which Tory lines you won't actually parrot, Neil?

FFS.

The tory is the one who doesn't want racist and homophobic abuse, and the leftie is the one that does?

The world truly has lost it's  mind. If it ever had one.

Do you have a mind, fridge? then you'll be able to tell me how not getting elected makes a better world, how greater austerity due to a missing £10Bn makes a better world ... and fuck knows what your tiny tiny mind is on about with noise abatement orders.

Get back to me when you've grown up. Or when your brain has doubled in size to two cells.

I'll leave the other stuff to the General Discussion thread because people there have got most of it covered and I don't want to take an admirably on-topic thread off-topic - apologies for that. The noise abatement orders thing was from ages back when you were in favour of music venues being shut down if it meant a few new flats could be built, but dw.

This isn't about not wanting racist and homophobic abuse, it's about badly designed laws being applied in situations where they shouldn't and overreaching into freedom of speech.

I dont think its bad to give people who held those beliefs but changed them a platform.

But people hear have argued that it's wrong to silence homophobes, that homophobia as art is something which should be allowed.

Either those people approve of homophobia, or they live in their own privileged world and don't have the first idea of the effects they're championing.

ahhh, so you're just a troll who is happy to use lies, along with some soundbytes you don't have the intelligence to understand, and who is happy to advoicate homophobia and all that comes with it.

I'm glad you've cleared that up,

I'm glad you've cleared that up,

I'm not sinking to this level, so this is me out. Which will no doubt be taken as proof that you've won the argument, so well done Neil, clap clap clap.
