I am sure they sell gluten free stuff in the Mercadona supermarkets (just look for 'SIN GLUTEN'. also, it'd be great if you could get a doctor note or something similar so you can get some food inside the festival if you want to - not sure about the gluten free options inside!!

Hey all, thought id update you regarding this for any other Celiac's going. I have spoken with the event organizers who have indeed informed me that as long as I take an official letter from NHS (letterhead and signed) I can take any foods into the arena. They have specified that some of the food stalls inside in the arena do cater for celiac, but personally I wouldn't want to risk it.

Hi all, coming to Benicassim with a few mates from the UK and 4 people have pulled out because of financial reasons  (aka let everyone down).

This has left us with two twin rooms free in Hotel Jardin de bellver (Friday and saturday night) which I am looking to sell on.

Where is the best place to market the rooms?? Is there a ticket/ accommodation swap site that's decent?

Appreciate any help you veterans can give!!! :)

Hey! is the hotel booked only for the Friday and Saturday night? If its for the week Monday-Monday I may be tempted to take both rooms as were currently camping and I have no idea what to expect.

Eitherway, good luck selling them. We all dislike dirty drop outs!

I can't wait!

Just dreading the drive from Birmingham to Leeds, then to East Midlands, Flight to Alicante then a nice 4 hour transfer in a roasting coach. My shiny bald head will be on fire!

Haha, we had to do a coach transfer from Madrid last year. Took about 5 hours. Thankfully was overnight - got there about 6am so wasn't too bad in the beat

You'll have a great time though, camping conditions seem rough but you soon forget about that by the time you get your first litre of desperados down you

I know the feeling, one of my friends who was coming may now have to resit exams for University. Therefore I have a ticket spare and only two weeks to possibly claw back some money.

However, I do believe he is trying to delay his resit until we return. Whether thats possible I have no idea.

B******ds!

Im flying into Valencia, but staying in Oropesa Del Mar. Does anyone know the availability of buying train tickets on the day as opposed to pre booking in advance? And does anybody know if/how that would affect the price?

cheers guys and girls

Not long now...glad to see Muse and Bloc Party don't clash as I purposely missed the former at Glastonbury to see them here!

Few tips for beforehand...

1/ Buy a locker in advance - you can get a small one on the FIB website for 25 EUR + 10 EUR deposit. These are perfect for things like passports, wallets, money, keys etc and we share one between 3/4 people usually. And the smallest one will be around 40 EUR on site, no matter when you pay for it. If you lose your passport you'll need to go to the British embassy in Barcelona and pay a lot of money to get a temporary one, I think it's about £100.

2/ Transfers/ getting around. For train tickets - go to renfe.com. For coach tickets - go to eufest.com or the FIB website, but eufest have more coaches running.  There's a bus which runs from the town centre directly to the festival site which costs 1.50 EUR per single trip or 15 EUR for a week pass. You can also rent bicycles for 70 EUR for the week, IIRC.

3/ Beni on a budget. I have done Beni on a budget most years and the Mercadona in the town (next to fountains and kids play area, you won't miss it) is dirt cheap for food and drinks. If you just fancy a sandwich, grab a baguette for 30cents, some ham/cheese and a couple of euros and that's a couple light snacks for the day.   You can get a burger for about 6/7 euros at most restaurants on the main walk down to the beach. Drinks - 70cl vodka is about 4 EUR in the supermarket. It's called Knebep. You can get a lot of different flavours but some of them are not the full 40% alc volume.  You can get about 12 small cans of beer (the ones you get on planes, about the same size as a coke can) for about 2 EUR.

4/ Tents etc - you can buy most things inside the festival once you exchange your wristband and head to Campfest area. Be prepared to pay a premium (air bed about 25 EUR, tent about 30 EUR) but if you only have hand luggage this may help you out. I have a small camping rucksack and my 2 man tent fits in it - just leave the pegs and mallet at home(you won't be able to peg them down anyway, ground is too hard - and some airlines might not let you carry them on) and don't bring a sleeping bag, way too hot.

5/ Nightlife/ bars - There is a club called Buddha about 20 min walk away from the site which opens on the nights before the festival. Look out for people handing out leaflets for free entry and free shots around the entrances and in the towns. Grab as many as you can as they will let you use them all at once.....!!  There's also a great Irish pub on the walk down to the beach (right hand side, same side as Mercadona) which has good air conditioning and a good pint of Guinness.  Sometimes there are on street DJs down a side street and Propaganda takes over a venue near the site too, can't remember which one this is, but you'll be given a leaflet for this when you get there I'm sure.

If anyone else has any tips feel free to add them below - and enjoy!

Thank you!

This was one of the things I was googling to see if there was any clubs nearby. Think we'll have a bostin time!

See some of you there!
