All the tour dates by Neil Young are arenas though. Looking at his tour schedule there are a few dates left to fill, but none of them are in the Primavera weekend. Seems to me he'll be in Spain at the 20th, but who knows.

A late Radiohead announcement sounds logical to me. Hopefully the line up comes quick. It'll be my first Primavera so I'm dying to know who I'll see :)

I still just reckon it was down to the LCD announcement not being till January. Line up will be out by the end of January as it was last year, I reckon.

Don't get your hopes up with Radiohead, album not finished, no plans to tour this year (if rumours are to be believed).

They always wanted to announce the complete Line-Up all in once but in recent years some of the headliners wanted to be announced before that. It was never the intention of the organizers. This was mentioned several times now in interviews.

This year they finally can present the Line-Up the way they wanted it for years.

The rumour I've heard Adam from a record exec is that the album is very much finished. And will drop on Friday! But I agree sadly any tour probably won't start in time.

Nah, won't get my hopes up. I think chances of Radiohead playing are far less than 50% and I think the same way about Neil Young. For both acts there's no real indication that they'll play at festivals.

I think we'll get something like in 2014 with Arcade Fire and QOTSA. With the names circulation at the moment I wouldn't complain about that either

Fair enough. I'm new to posting but not to reading and this will be my 9th Primavera. I know they normally wait longer between registering a company and releasing an album but apparently this time it's good to go.

think Sigur Ros and LCD Soundsystem are good bets to be two of the headliners. as for the rest, i really couldn't fathom a guess, but those two are a good start for me

fingers crossed the announcement comes soon!

Agreed, I think those two are as close to nailed down as you can get (as is PJ Harvey). Will be a fantastically strong undercard, as it is every year!

I'm still going for

LCD Soundsystem

Neil Young

Sigur Ros / PJ Harvey

Problem with the above is that both LCD and Neil Young wouldn't be able to headline Primavera Porto (assuming LCD are doing Bonaroo) so I think there may be a good chance of a big sub on one of the days at Barcelona (i.e Massive Attack to serve as a headliner for Porto along with PJ Harvey and Sigur Ros.

Pure speculation of course on my part.

Apparently Radiohead registered their company back in October, it's just that news of this has only just emerged. After the worst start to the week, a ray of sunshine ahead when the album comes out. Also wish they'd play PV this year but next year feels like a much better bet.

No reason why he's unrealistic. Played the festival before and tour starts on the 5th June.

Makes him a entirely distinct possibility to me.

Looking at his tour makes it not that likely. He's only playing arenas during the festival season. Also all the shows he has to announce yet are pointed out with a moon in his schedule(at least that's how I interpret the schedule). Non of those dates is during Primavera Sound.

There's one thing that keeps my hopes a bit up. Roskilde, Pinkpop and Rock Werchter al have to announce at least one headliner. He's free on those dates and I think those festivals would go very, very far to book him. On the other hand, he would have a arena and a festival show in a real short period in The Netherlands and Belgium if this happens, which is not very likely. Also would he need to perform 4 days in a row to play Pinkpop(2 in UK, 1 NL and 1 FR).

I definitely hope he'll play at Primavera, but I can't see it happening.

Looking at those moons, I've worked out they correspond exactly to the 2016 Full Moon dates so that's a red herring.

Correct.

But apparently Neil Young is supposed to play an exclusive concert in spain in Madrid 18th or 19th june. Which would rule him out.

I hope this rumor is wrong. Would love to see him.

They're sadists. And still no word on when they'll even announce the lineup.

A bunch of Bonnaroo names leaked on the official app:

I know LCD is supposed to be doing Bonnapoo and Primavera, so I guess it's possible for some of these to also be at both, but I don't think many will. In any case, they're ruled out for Porto.

Out if these names, I'm hoping Kamasi Washington, Lolawolf, Daughter, Roman Gianarthur make it to Barcelona.

Same goes for Tame Impala and Kurt Vile. The Porto edition could be a much weaker version of Barcelona this year if the bands we think are gonna perform actually do. Makes a case for someone headlining like Bon Iver or Massive Attack who can do both festivals.
