To be fair, it's 9:30am on Friday where I'm at. Still have the whole dang day.

Thanks for not calling me a liar with your very first post. The only information I had was that the album would be released at the end of this week. I interpreted that to mean Friday but I concede on reflection that albums can be probably be released at the weekend in this digital age.

They've been discredited as you say but Primavera does have the occasional act that doesn't fit (Pet Shop Boys, Florence and her awful machine, Tori Amos)

That would be a dream line-up for me

As much as I love 'old' Radiohead, I'm fairly certain anything new will be pure tedium (although I will love to be proved wrong).

Anyway, I bought a ticket with no idea of what the lineup would comprise so I have no right to complain. I will have a blast whatever the announcements bring

I suppose you're right. It is rare for a headline act to lack musical credibility like in my opinion FATM but there are a few here and there

Lack musical credibility 'in your opinion'? So what you're saying is that you don't like them.

Flo is well respected by similar publications that hold your general PS act in high esteem and collaborated and supported a bunch of old Primavera headliners. Probably not high up on your average Primavera-goer's lists but definitely fit in; no different to them booking Foals or someone like that.

Wolf Parade are playing London on 14th and 15th of June, that's pretty good timing for them to play Barcelona and Porto?

Yeah definitely.

Florence is just brilliant live. I saw her last year at Sziget expecting nothing more than just a good concert and in the end I was totally in love with her. One of the best gigs of my 2015 (and my setlist.fm says I saw 128 gigs in 2015), surely in the top 5, totally unexpected.

Whilst she no doubt has a powerful voice and has mainstream appeal, to me she makes up for the lack of original melody in her songs by shrieking out almost every bloody word in her choruses which are about as subtle as being hit in the face with a giant purple sledgehammer. Her vocal ticks also seem so contrived. Hot Chip are incredibly 'uncool' and I love them and I think they could fit the Primavera template - it's uniquely the music that bothers me with FATM. But each to their own...

Hot Chip are so uncool they're ridiculously cool.

And fucking brilliant, while we're at it.

I'm finding it really odd there has been barely any official announcement of when a line up will be announced. The previous years they had it all organised really well, had dates set for line up announcement a week or two or even more in advance. Nothing this year bar a few hints in the last day or two. I'm wondering if there is a big name haggling or holding back or something. I dunno. I just find it odd and interesting

I can't agree. I mean Glastonbury announces their lineup 2/3 months beforehand. Coachella announced theirs 3 months before this year.
There is still more than 4.5 months to go. 4.5! I appreciate it's harder when trying to plan from across the pond and it's a lot of money but it's not that late to announce if they do month end.
Plus the festival is a week later this year so if they announce month end it would be consistent with last year.
