Thanks. I've never tried Rakija or Vinjak so that'll be interesting.

We're staying about 20 mins walk south of the fortress (on the fortress side of the river). There doesn't look to be many pubs around that area so we'll probably be drinking around the pool in the days and go into town a few days and visit the beach.

Yes if you could show me a few pub recommendations. That would be awesome.

Thanks

Mate I'd like to reccommend you to avoid Vinjak, most of Serbian people have some blank spaces in their life memories due to the "Vinjak attack" during the childhood (specially when you mix it with the beer, the mix is called "beton" (concrete), once you expirience it, it becomes very clear why it is called "beton") :)

Rakija is perfect choice, but try to drink only quality rakija (not cheap one with low quality). Dunjevaca (quince) or sljivovica (plum rakija) are the types I like prefer.

Re drink at the festival, last year official beer was Tuborg (a pint was 2 EUR). You can find spirits in VIP areas at the festival. PS you can enter VIP Terrace free of charge after 11pm (it is located near the Fusion stage in the upper part of the festival) so you could easily buy spirits too (such as Vodka, Jack Daniels, Jegermeister etc ....). We'll see who will support festival with beer in 2016.

At regular festival bars available drinks are beer, vine, energy, juices (all types and varieties), water (still and mineral).

If you want to go to the pubs, just go to the city centre, you can not miss it (Streets: Dunavska St, Zmaj Jovina St, Laze Teleckog St - all of them are connected).

The food and the drinks are very cheap in Novi Sad and Serbia (there are plenty of local and international beers available at pubs and local shops - i.e. beer (can 0.5L) costs 1 EUR in local shops)

Thanks! I guess it's about the same price and system at Sea Dance? :)

Mostly yes, prices might be cca 20% higher but it is still cheap for UK/EU standards.

thank you :)

And really, is this Vinjak that strong? I might buy some and take it with me home (I don't drink much at festivals to avoid something like that happening).

It has 40% alcohol but somehow it's more drinkable than other drinks with that amount of alcohol so you drink way more than you should  Basically that's the thing with Vinjak in my opinion.

If you want to bring some quality alcohol better find some high quality Rakija. Ask locals there, they know

  • 2 weeks later...

The Vaccines, Tinariwen for main stage + Tuber, The Black Heart Rebellion and Graham Candy for smaller ones.

I love Tinariwen and The Black Heart Rebellion, very happy for those. Vaccines not so much and I don't know other 2.

Vaccines play on Sunday, I hope that means a rock headliner above them.

Just played 2 minutes of Tuber's album. Holy shit, this is awesome. Wow.
5 minutes now. I just love it, how did I miss it before?

If it's friday, then it's great. There are a lot of good bands touring this year, very likely to see a big indie/alternative name on that headline spot. Anyway, this year's line up is shaping up nicely, last year's being weak imo, but two years ago very good

Yeah, last year wasn't that great but still great fun. Main stage still isn't that good for me this year but dance arena is miles better than last year. Also fusion and explosive stages look better than last year too.

So true man :)

Btw, another big name will come on Sunday, it seems like :)

And Dance Arena is a blast! And few more names will be announced.

For EXIT? What about the third Sea Dance headliner?

And why isn't Skrillex on the posters, neither on the website? :/

For SDF too.

Btw Skrillex is not at an Adventure (EXIT + SDF) line up, but certainly is at Sea Dance line up :) It is just his decision (or his Management) :)

Great :)

Still going to Sea Dance, just figured that it may be wiser to try to sell the whole package instead of only Exit.
Do you know if we can rent lockers at Sea Dance camping?

Good evening!

Believe me, just do your best to go to the Sea Dance, you would not regret.

Re SDF lockers, yeah it will be available in 10 days :)
