Hmm so Radiohead appeared on the Bonnaroo lineup momentarily but were then taken off:

Bonnaroo already has all its headliners I believe. Also interesting to note is that they have 'late night sets', with bands at least the size of tame impala doing these. If RH is doing a late night set there, then perhaps this paves the way for a similar set at Glasto.

This needs to be announced before the 6th of May.

You should probably trade your ticket in and go to a fest they are already announced for, if their presence is that crucial. I would think it very unlikely they'll be officially announced now - particularly in the next month - and by then you could have missed opportunity to see them headline somewhere else.

Clearly what's happened is crossed wires. Radiohead will headline the Saturday night in 2017, they'll play a 3 hour 35 song set. They'll have a live brass section for Life in a Glasshouse and The National Anthem, a string section for Reckoner. And they'll bring out Stephen Hawking for Fitter Happier like Blur did with Phil Daniels for Parklife.

I don't think they're doing a secret set there. They're playing in Barcelona and Iceland the weekends either side. It seems bizarre that especially Thom would want to fly across to the States and back, with all their kit and tour crew etc just for a secret set at Bonnaroo.

LCD Soundsystem are playing Netherlands -> Los Angeles -> Ireland on 3 consecutive weekends....

hello chaps,

difficult I know but I've been following the thread closely over the past few weeks, as of today, how confident are most of you that radiohead will play in some form this year at glasto?

I know it sounds ungrateful but I think if the dream is over I'll be tempted to hand my ticket back next week as unfortunately not one announced band (so far) has me very excited.

There isn't one single announced act you're looking forward to seeing?

Do you have ears?

Is neil still leaning slightly towards his original source with the perfect track record?

i am.

We only get to find out if he's right or wrong when they're announced or when they play (or don't), but given his track record over the best part of a decade I'd be dumb to reject the idea that it might well happen.

Having said that my confidence is draining slowly away, but for reasons that aren't as good as the reason for sticking with that info.

Of course and as I said to someone else before, I did say "very" excited.

For me personally, familiarity with the bands I am watching is important and the ones I am familiar with already I'm not overly buzzing for. I'm trying my best to have a listen through the acts I've not listened to but with the amount of time left before the festival I'm obviously not going to get to know them as well as my favourites.

I've fully detached myself from the idea of Radiohead playing Glastonbury. I just can't see where they would fit in if they were announced before hand. If they end up doing a secret I'll try and be there, but my festival won't revolve around it.

Basically, whatever happens, happens.

I'm always game for a whacky theory though!
