But what are we supposed to say when we mean the old use of literally? There was a perfectly good word for figuratively already. Figuratively. But now we've lost a word. Literally.

The rain just woke me up so I have read this whole thread to amuse myself as I can't get back to sleep. 

I can't believe no one pointed poor Hunky towards Philippa's van!

With regards to grammar, my pet hate is the misuse of there, their and they're.
