kieranboruc
Looking to arrange my ferry from Portsmouth th Ryde as travelling from Scotland via Gatwick, then train to Portsmouth. The ferry sites don't seem to say what happens if you don't catch the allotted ferry time you book ie can you get next one. can you just book a ferry for a specific day other than time? I don't want to risk missing ferries due to late flight/train or whatever. Can you just walk up and get on one on the day as a foot passenger? 1st timer at this festival been at plenty others but find information about most things really difficult to find out. Also I assume there is busses from Ryde to the venue is it far? Any other information for a first timer appreciated
the wonderwhy
If you're going on the foot ferry, book your train ticket through from Gatwick to Ryde Pierhead. It includes the ferry and you can just walk up and get on whichever one (there will obviously be a massive queue).
