I'm actually thinking of going there. I am just not sure if there are still affordable accommodations available. Last time I checked it looked pretty bad already but maybe things changed and people updated their capacity.

Thinking about getting day pass for Friday at Boardmasters as we are staying in the area. But we're confused about the 2 sites - can anybody let us know this works? Do people go to Fistral Beach for the surfing etc during the day and then head over to Watergate Bay later on? Or do people go to one site or the other and stay put all day and evening?

Sorry if this is a stoopid question but just don't quite get it! Thanks

There's a shuttle bus between the two sites. You could head down to Fistral beach if there's a gap in the music you want to see at Watergate Bay. I've only been last year but heading back this year. I don't think there's a 'what most people do' sitch to be honest. We tended to stay at WB last year as there was loads we wanted to see and nipped down to WB beach too.

Me and a group of about 10 will be heading down... all between 22-32, if anyone's in need of a posse.

Anyone have any idea how far the car park is from the campsite? In terms of - can i carry a shit load of booze to the campsite with ease... or will my arms fall off....

Hmmm... also just learning of these alcohol limits. Supposedly I can only take in 16 cans of Cider, and I have to take it on my first entrance!!! Bit harsh eh. There must be a way around that surely.

Hey! This will be my first visit to Boardmasters, cannot wait! This will also be my first festival going alone. Does anyone know if there is a group of lone Boardmaster festival goers? If there's nothing arranged already, would organising something be of interest to people?

First timer camping this year, had a day ticket in 2014 when it got cancelled. Any suggestions about which campsite is best?

How busy will it be Thursday afternoon? Going up seperately to two of our friends and want to camp together. Do you think we'd find a spot for two 4 man tents about 4/5ish on Thursday? Not fussed on where we camp  what field would be best?

Really not seen much info shared about searches.... an 18 can limit on cider is ridiculous! Going to have to take more than that... but how. Hmmm.

Worked there for the last few years.

Hard to get unauthorised alcohol into the arena bit. All bags get glanced into on entry.

Popper pat downs and  pocket searches rare unless you  obviously have cans of beer in your jeans pockets. 

Good event in ace location.
