NEWBIE in need of advice

So a group of us are going to be attending Leeds fest. with early entry. 

We haven't decided on a campsite yet, but we're all going to be 18, some of us more experienced with festivals than others.

Just how early should we attempt to be in Leeds on the thursday to set up camp - and get a good spot?

Bearing in mind that we will most likely be taking a big 10 man tent, or 3 or 4 smaller tents.

Try and stay away from the red camp site.

A lot of people will be going Wednesday and setting up so I'd say get there as soon as you can especially with having a big tent.

Keep away from the edges and fences (men pissing) also remember your gona have to find your tent in near darkness after a long day and loads if alcohol.

If use have bought early entry tickets use can arrived on the Wednesday.

Hello!

I can confirm that many people do indeed go to the festival on a Wednesday. The field near the car park tends to fill up by around 11am, gates usually open at 12-12:30. 

Once you get into the festival, its usually about following the coloured felds to where you desire to be. Personally, we always go to Blue field opposite the Samaritans/Log Sales place. By Wednesday night this is usual quite full however there is space for tents inbetween others.

I've never personally had problems setting up a large tent, last year I took a 12man teepee and that was a piece of cake. I can't give information regarding arriving on the Thursday as the last 5 years i've always got their on the Wednesday.

My suggestion is if you have an early entry pass, use it.
