I've lurked without an account a long time ago for Glasto news in the early 2000s and occasionally drop in on the APE London threads for ticket offers. Heading back to this year for the first time since 2007. Going solo and so I will be looking out for threads with camping tips etc, I use to camp up Pennard Hill way. Fond memories of the cider bus and silent disco and the randomness and even some of the mud though hoping for none of that next year of course. Welcome to the forum, you will see lots of changes! This is a very comprehensive guide to Glastonbury Festival - https://www.glastoearth.com/ Happy reading! 😊
itsmitchelltime
Had a run of 10 Glastos from 1997 until 2009 (just missing 98) and being on Virtual festivals and TOS sites back then I returned in 2023 for what I thought would be closure/unfinished business (or whatever you call it). My comments then were: “What a 3 days. Best part of 22 miles walked. A number of hours blank. Glastonbury after 14 years safe to say you’re still brilliant, albeit about a third bigger (probably same as my waist)“ After some jealousy at some mates also going this year I’m returning in 2025 for what may be the start of another chapter. PS I know I said 3 days (lightweight) I have no idea how I used to 5, I am also a WV convert after 2023 as the no carrying all the gear from the car park was an absolute godsend IMHO
ehg
Hello, I'm Ed! First went to Glastonbury in 1997 when I was 13, then back again in 1998, and through the 2000s. Was there for the insane floods in 2004 / 2005 or whenever it was (the infamous photo of people rowing a canoe through the campsite) so between that and 97/98 I've done my time in the trenches weather-wise. I hadn't been since 2007 until I got invited to do a panel discussion last summer - absolutely blown away by how much bigger and busier it is now, and how little the vibe has changed. Going back next summer to help run a stage, can't wait.

Guz
Hi everyone, i'm Guz from the Netherlands. Started reading last year where we managed to get 4 tickets. We never got to make it to the festival due to an accident on our way to the farm on Wednesday morning. We have 8 tickets for next year, to honor our friend who passed away. Let's make it a good memory this time and close the book called Glasto for once and all. Edited Wednesday at 06:43 AM by Guz

Sorry for your loss. I remember reading about it after it happened. I hope you all have a great festival next year and it is a fitting tribute to your friend.
aident93
Afternoon all. I hope those who wanted campervan/glamping were successful in today's "ballot". 2025 will be my 3rd Glasto after falling in love with the place in 2022 and again in 2023. Didn't have any luck for 2024 so cannot wait to return to the farm next year! Have been reading for a while and just had to sign up to get involved in all things Glasto. Love all the 'X' accounts, websites (GlastoEarth, glastonburytips etc). Edited Thursday at 12:23 PM by aident93
