Slam Dunk Festival press pass?

Hey,

 

So I just got approved for a press pass for slam dunk in Leeds this year, anyone know how this works? I assume that's my ticket? I bought a ticket with the afterparty included ages ago and I want to sell it, but I wanna make sure I can get in without it. Sorry if that sounds a bit stupid, I've not had a press pass for a festival before. Also, anyone know what else happens/what else you get with a press pass?

I've had press passes for other small festivals, and that gives you access and you don't need another ticket. A lot of festivals ask for donations (sometimes mandatory) for press and guestlist, so be prepared to pay some cash when you arrive to collect it. It will be quite a bit less than the ticket cost, don't worry.

A press pass usually grants access to some kind of guest area (usually by the main stage) where there are nicer toilets etc. I'm not sure if they will have one of those as its a city-based festival, but you can ask when you collect. I also imagine you will be able to skip queues as you are press, but again it's best to check when you arrive. Unless you have a dedicated photo-pass you won't be allowed in the photographers pits.
