Motorhome Extras

Recommended Posts

This is my first year at Glastonbury with a proper motorhome and I'm wondering what extras should I be considering bringing for it. I'm assuming that an Aquaroll is a must in order to fill water, is the hose that comes with them sufficient to get the water into the onboard tank?

Is a wastemaster essential also? If not how would the waste be disposed off?

Any other things I should be consider bringing?

Many thanks

@StoneCircle can probably help with a what to pack previous post for motorhomers.

aquaroll yes.  Fill your fresh tank and aquaroll before you leave, it adds to travel weight but so much less hassle onsite.

wastemaster yes. Although many either don't empty or let it run to the ground, which is a no no in proper caravan circles. Not sure what the festival say on it.

Levelling blocks are a must, the ground is often sloping!

Is it your own MH or a hire one?

Water container and funnel ( fill the water tank to the brim before leaving home and then just top up as you use it, aqua rolls are for caravans that don't have on board water tank)

bucket for grey waste  ( MH have a built in grey waste tank that needs emptying once full, just pour some out into a bucket every now and again and dispose of in the correct place, do not just open the tap and pour it onto the ground)

levelling chocks are a must, fridge won't work if you aren't level ( doesn't have to be perfect)

The reviews all seem to be by people who were sent the product for free or at a discounted price. Let us know what you think when you try it out.

There's a few very similar models out there that all seem to review pretty well. I just went with the cheapest option. This one has loads more reviews and looks identical:

I'm not expecting a power shower, but this coupled with an £8 11l collapsable bucket should wash away the daily hangover. I may even push the boat out and boil a kettle to add in!!!!

I can but dream of a motorhome. I've sullied the group with my ambitions as a humble campervan user. We all have to start somewhere ;-)

Warm handshakes tvrobbie, you'll get a wave from me in your campervan on the road. (Unless you're a vdub driver who laughs at us conformists in the motorhomes ;-)  )

edit - I've not gone back to stonecircle's list, but don't forget to decant any spirits into plastic fruit juice bottles to save on weight and meet the entry criteria of no glass.

Got the electric shower and bucket today. Not bad at all. It's got more power than some hotels i've stayed in stayed in and will do a pretty good job.  Someones posted a video review online showing the pressure:
