To be honest I think the festival should be looking for other broadcasters or at least open it up for competition. The BBC relationship has got a little bit too comfortable and the BBC news behaviour over their coverage of recent world events makes them no longer an impartial or trusted broadcaster. 

The BBC are a disgrace. How can Glastonbury allow them to dictate what artists do? 

Hoping for Vampire Weekend, Bicep, Empire of The Sun, Snow Patrol and maybe Maribou State

Is it possible that the festival/BBC were seeking to influence his set list? “wanted us to do a lot of things in a way we were not interested in"
