Saturday 04 March Man Utd v Bournemouth Leicester v Hull Stoke v Middlesbrough Swansea v Burnley Watford v Southampton West Brom v Crystal Palace Liverpool v Arsenal Sunday 05 March Spurs v Everton Sunderland v Man City Monday 06 March West Ham v Chelsea Big games all over the place this weekend. At the bottom Leicester v Hull obviously looks a big game, and Hull would actually go level on points with Leicester if they win. Boro, Swansea, and Palace might be looking at picking up points, whilst Sunderland face a City team who look pretty good again. If Utd beat Bournmouth (who have now lost 4 in a row and not won in 7 and look in trouble), they'll go ahead of either Liverpool or Arsenal who are both pretty inconsistent ahead of the late game on Saturday. Looks to be a good weekend. Predictions? I see lots of draws including... At Leicester, West Brom, Liverpool and West Ham.
mjsell
I wonder how much that draw cost united? I'm not sure what the going rate for buying a ref is these days. Who would have thought it would be Tyrone Mings to be the first player to really effect Zlatan this season. Both should have gone mind. lost
I'm stunned Schneiderlin couldn't get a game and was shipped out. Pogba looks terrible in that position, He was a different player at Juve in the free role with Khedira and Vidal doing the workhorse stuff. kaosmark2
Big wins for Leicester, Swansea and Palace. Looks like 3 from 7 to go down, but I feel Boro are certs. They just don't have the goals in the team even though they have a solid defense. I was hoping it'd be Leicester, Fat Sam and the Mackems to go down, but annoyingly sacking Ranieri seems to have worked for Leicester. Football history tells me that when a team with low expectations hits 40 points early, they are the teams you want to play if you are in desperate need of points. kaosmark2
I feel that's promotion secured today. Obviously it's not over until it's mathematical, but points gained over Brighton and Huddersfield today. 11 points clear with 12 games for Huddersfield to play with a good gap to second. Oh yeah, we definitely looked like a group of players flicking through holiday brochures today. We've had a great two thirds of a season so far, it would be desperately disappointing if it just fizzled out now.

Yesterday was the day when Liverpool were meant to have been proven as shit, and now they find themselves in 3rd just one point from 2nd. If that's 'shit' and out of the running for top 4, then Utd are in the relegation zone.

I thought most acknowledged Liverpool were very strong against the top clubs. With the league title over, it's good that everything is to play for between2 and . Only City would really shock me missing out on top 4.

Nal said Liverpool were 'shit', yep. My comments last week were addressing that and just that. And I was making the point that they'll be fine, because they're capable of playing well so will pick up out of their slump, while Utd have been on a better run and their form will drop off some. I might end up being wrong about that, but it's a long long way from anything nutty.

Fact is both teams are amongst the best in the world even if not at their peak. I'm not sure anymore suggested Liverpool couldn't get in the top 4, last week man Utd, arsenal and Liverpool were about equal in the top 4 betting which was probably about right. That would be my view. Possibly we are looking back instead of forward though. Who do we think are the most likely English club to next win the champs league ? It could be argued that Man City or Chelsea are best prepared going forward.

Man City and Chelsea without a doubt , followed by Man Utd who should get back to that level eventually if they keep spending at current levels. However it's a cup and while there's been a few years of strong winners, it hasn't always been the case.
pink_triangle
I can't agree with keown calling Shakespeare "out of order" for wanting the Leicester job. I haven't heard him say similar things about some of his contemporaries parachuted into big jobs with no managerial/ coaching experience.
