Radiohead Headlining 2017

The Nal

Recommended Posts

I've got a real soft spot for Subterranean Homesick Alien. When it first listened to OKC I was a bit unsure after the first two tracks. Felt like too much of a departure from The Bends from my 17 year old OCS-loving ears, but I loved SHA and was on board from that point on.

I like Electioneering too, it's all great.

Except for The Gloaming.

Kid A has always been my favourite Radiohead album - the flow of the songs, the artwork etc etc. But I'm starting to think OK Computer has overtaken it. So many massive songs. Electioneering was always my 'skip track' but even that almost got me headbanging on the bus the other day. Lucky/The Tourist is the best finale to any RH album imo.

Nah it's fairly good, probably on a par with other ones I'm not loopy about on The Bends. It is basically a Bends track lost on OKC and a bit jarring in that run of despondent songs.

I don't agree.  There's far more going on in terms of melody and dynamics in your average Bends track.  I'm not even sure it would be a good track on Pablo!

I realise there's not massive variations in a lot of these setlists, but here's my proposal

1. Burn The Witch
2. The Bends
3. There There
4. Ful Stop
5. Nude
6. Lotus Flower
7. No Surprises
8. Identikit
9. Myxomatosis
10. Reckoner
11. Present Tense
12. The National Anthem
13. How To Disappear Completely
14. Weird Fishes/Arpeggi
15. Fake Plastic Trees
16. Paranoid Android
17. Street Spirit (Fade Out)

18. Daydreaming
19. Bodysnatchers
20. Pyramid Song
21. Everything In Its Right Place
22. Idioteque

23. Creep
24. Karma Police

Would be fantastic that.

Electioneering is better than subterranean homesick alien and the tourist.

It's so good they played it in a metal club I was out in the other week. It fit in perfectly between QOTSA and system of a down

You're a mad man

I think Kid A has become my favourite recently. It does vary though.

Also all these setlists with Burn the Witch as the opener, I know it was the staple for the tour last year but I feel they need to open Glastonbury with a massive fucking banger, and Burn the Witch is not that.

(Also also I've started referring to tracks as bangers now thanks to this place. My friends are confused)

Has anyone yet come up with a viable setlist that includes all the songs they hope Radiohead don't play?  Just in case we're running out of lists...

  You
  Creep
  How Do You?
  Stop Whispering
  Thinking About You
  Anyone Can Play Guitar
  Ripcord
  Vegetable
  Prove Yourself
  I Can't
  Lurgee
  Blow Out

I'd say Creep is in for a shout with it's inclusion on the last tour :) (Not that I'd want it to be)

Airbag into Paranoid Android is a great opener to an album.

But gotta admit, Burn The Witch into Daydreaming is pretty incredible too

Those comparisons are so far apart in my mind it is beyond obscene.

Do like BTW mind, looking forward to hearing it live!

Yeah OK Computer has recently bumped In Rainbows off my number one spot too. Spent far too long listening to Let Down, Paranoid Android, Karma Police and neglecting the likes of The Tourist and Lucky. The only song I tend to skip is Electioneering.

I am praying inwardly on a daily basis that they play Lucky at G. My face may fall off.
