Seems odd to me that you love all those songs but have no interest in the rest of their set...

said mostly in jest. I'll be there throughout.  But I do find with Radiohead, more than any other band I like,  I have a massive range of how much I like each song.  Some songs are amongst my favourite ever, and some just bore me completely.

I agree with this a lot actually. I love the 30~ song playlist I have of theirs, but whenever I put their albums on most the other tracks don't interest me much. In Rainbows, Kid A and TKOL and the only ones where the non-playlist tracks stand up as being decent.

I'm definitely in the "get your hits our for the lads" at glasto, then in Manchester give me the deepest of deep cuts. I'm talking Like Spinning Plates. I'm talking Cuttooth. I'm talking Motion Picture Soundtrack.

From a "chances of lots being played at glastonbury" point of view, is it worth investigating Hail to the Thief and/or Amnesiac?

Nah, just check out 2+2=5, The Gloaming (uck) and There There from HTTT and then Pyramid Song and You and Whose Army? from Amnesiac and you're covered for songs they might play from either.

The only one I know is Myxamotosis and I quite like that - thought that'd have a chance, no?

There's definitely a chance, but I don't think it's especially likely. If you were to drew up a list of 30 songs they could easily play, I'd put it on there.

Ah yeah forgot about that one. Probably not too likely to be played on the Pyramid, although I'd be over the moon if it was - what a tune. Made a few outings on this tour so you never know!

Gawd why would you try to get into more bands on the Glastonbury poster? I'm over here denying the existence of some acts I wanna see!

Songs an unbeliever is hoping for:

Let Down

Idiotheque

Everything in It's Right Place

Exit Music

Karma Police

Identikit

Just

National Anthem

How to Disappear

All I need

Daydreaming

15 Step (I need to listen to In Rainbows more to judge better, but these two stood out so far)

Lucky

And just for you I hope they open with Airbag into Paranoid Android.

That's a pretty hitless setlist. Great for chin scratching. Not so great for the Pyramid Stage.

I mean, what, no Pyramid Song, no There There, no Paranoid Android, no Karma Police, no Fake Plastic Trees (which again, is the only one I desperately want to hear, and have been rather buoyed by the fact they've already cracked it out four times this year), no Street Spirit - and so forth. At least Let Down turned up.

I know (very well) that you don't go see Radiohead for the hits. But that would die on its arse on Friday night on the Pyramid Stage.

They won't play a set that resembles that at all. It will be pretty hit heavy on the Pyramid

I would think those most of those would be in the art list come June. Just is the most unlikely, although personally think it would be the best opener at Glastonbury to win the crowd over early

This is my biggest worry with Radiohead this year. I want them to play a proper Radiohead set... but then I don't want my disinterested friends to find it boring and bring the mood down. I also don't want the crowd to be shit :(

i just hope the crowd is as open minded at possible

They're not gonna play a set like last nights at Glastonbury  they just wont. They might throw one or two curveballs in, but overall I think we can pretty much count on a hits filled set. They're not divvies, and this may well be their last time doing it - I doubt they want to just fuck it right up by trying to be a bit weird with the setlist.

For those freaking out, check those two setlists and chill. They did this last year. The first arena/smaller venue shows they did had all sorts of weird setlists. Come the major festivals, it was hit central. I promise you, Coachella will get all of the hits you're after.

They ain't turning up at Glastonbury and playing a mix of album tracks and ignoring the big hits.

I was there the second weekend of Coachella the last time they played and it wasn't really banger central. Opening 5 tracks were Bloom, 15 Step, Morning Mr Magpie, Staircase, The Gloaming...

Yeah they played odd setlists at the festivals they did on that tour for sure, but so far on this current tour all their festival setlists have been pretty filled with the hits.

TKOL tour in general was light on the hits. But this tour they've played a lot more hits and pretty much every festival they played last year was a hit parade.

To compare the two tours:

TKOL:

A Moon Shaped Pool:

Far, far more earlier stuff proportionately played on the AMSP tour. And this would even more be the case at Glasto. The festival set lists were pretty samey last year, unusually so for Radiohead. They pretty much all were packed full of singles.

They appear to have lightened up a bit more in the last five years and seem relatively happy to play a reasonable number off their early albums (except Pablo Honey)
