Bearded Theory Festival 2017

[Gnomicide]

Any recommendations from the perhaps lesser known acts?

I'll kick off with Rodney Branigan though I'd imagine most of you have seen him at one festival or other over the years. His whole schtick with two guitars is very impressive but so much more to him than that, a great voice, some excellent tunes and if he breaks out his version of Creep, it's a joy to behold.

Gonna defo check him out this year, cheers Gnom

My recommendation is Tess of The Circle, they the my pals friends band. The guitarist is mega! Def worth a watch. I'm gonna miss Slaves for them. Think that's who they clash with.

Edit to note. They are on Friday in the Woodland.

Faerground Accidents. Saw them on Woodlands Stage last year, remind me a bit of Suede, some fine tunes.

Playing Friday, 2nd on the Pallet.

I've never seen Faerground Accidents, always seen the name on the line ups, but never checked them out, don't know why. I will now.

Not really a reccomedation as I have never seen these, but from the playlist I've been liking Karl Phillips and the Rejects. Maui Waui on Sunday. If I can tear myself away from the Bhangra / folk tunes in the magical sounds tent, I'll be there.

@Gnomicide I have just put the Spotify playlist on while cooking breaka and the 2nd song was Faerground, how random. Defo hearing a bit suede in there. Yeah quite liked it. Funny when I looked to see who it was and was them.

Love these, they played last year.....and I banged on about them then as well

Hopefully they will get a better slot this year...last year they clashed badly with similar acts, so there weren't many of us watching (shame because they were great)

I was only looking for why Dirty Folkers were playing and Vice Squad wasnt, it made no sense, but after digging around Maui Waui website/FB page, I found that Dirty Folkers is actual Dirty Old Folkers, which is a bit of a pisser   (not because there are bad or anything, but I just that I thought it was Vice Squad)......but I did find the timetable which is a bonus

I think I'll be spending more time at the Maui Waui this year*. A lot more on there I like so far.
