Looking more likely for Werchter than Graspop now. They would have to play 3 days in a row to play Graspop.

It would be awesome: Toto announced they are going to do many shows in Europe next summer. I want to bet that Graspop headliners will be Toto, Aerosmith and Linkin Park, so that it would let us SOAD. The great advantage with SOAD is that they are not big enough in Belgium to be the headliner of a day, so it let a headliner slot or a cohead slot to take...  It would allow to dream of a structure like SOAD/Arcade Fire/Electronic act, The National/Pearl Jam, Green Day/Electronic act, Kings Of Leon/Radiohead

According to a rather trustworthy source Pearl Jam are not playing Werchter. Basically they'd be skipping big outdoor events in countries with the highest threat level (aka Belgium and France).

So let's not hope too much yet.

When about's are we realistically expecting an announcement from Werchter? I gather that some European festivals announce their headliners earlier than most British festivals but how much I don't know.

Usually beginning of December but everybody seems to be announcing a lot sooner now so who knows.....

You're right, and RHCP and Florence soon after if I remember correctly. Same happened in 2012 when adding bands for RW13. But usually they start in beginning of December....

I expect we get first headliner next friday. Last year they started announcing end of October and then a new headliner every 1 or 2 weeks. We should know all the headliners by december (except if we get something like last year, where Paul McCartney was only announced in like february or so). Announcements of other artists will probably start in the beginning of 2017.

Yep, here is the poster; reallly realistic  knowing that Blue Oyster Cult will play at Hellfest, and that all these artists logically fit. Very good news for SOAD, and Airbourne
