So I shall be extending praise to the other weather gods in the hope that they'll leave us in peace for June.  So today we have Thor, Norse God of Thunder!

I thought mine was making good progress, but had a minor set back yesterday. Nothing major, just hurting a bit after not really hurting at all for 2/3 days. Still a good couple of weeks from even attempting exercise, and probably a month or so before I'm back on the squash court, but spirits remain high!

We spend all our time praising the sun gods for sunny weather, right?  What's to say that the gods of r*in aren't getting hacked off with not getting any praise at all, and decide to come and ruin the party in revenge?!

So a little additional praising to keep them satisfied would seem logical, n'est-ce pas?

Oh crumbs, that's a very valid point. I'm really not sure how I feel about it, having been a member (fnar) of nfr since the beginning of time!

I'm just throwing it out there Lucy!  Since 2010 we've had good weather, but never a full on bobby dazzler.  Maybe that's what's been missing?

That is a good theory! I have always blamed the people that say 2010 was "too hot" and needed "a light shower". Then we got 2011 and it was really rather damp! Although the Sunday was a cracker, lovely and warm

Do we think the weather gods do a bit of everything, or are there specific gods for specific types of weather?

I think it depends on your god!  I'm covering all my bases, but if the NFR NFC community isn't comfortable with the praising of non-sunny weather gods I shall reconsider my position

2010 was because of us. It doesn't have to be a Bobby dazzler. it's just no rain no compromise expletives deleted. 

You are right. 2011 was the fault of people wanting a bit of rain. Every other shower has been ours for not being ardent enough.

Ok people, let's not get hasty with the heretic burning here. We'll have no wicker man thank you. I did say if it wasn't popular I'd rethink my approach, and it appears that's the case. I shall take on some additional penance...

I'm also happy to be saved if it involves rum and or gin

However, there's clearly something more important to worry about. Namely what the fuck is a camembert hedgehog and where do I get one?!

Basically, a loaf of bread with a circle cut into the middle. A Camembert goes in the hole. The rest of the loaf is sliced part way through in a grid and drizzled with herb and garlic oil. The whole thing is covered in foil and shoved in the oven. When it's done, you dig out chunks of bread, dunk them in the cheese, and munch. Check YouTube for demo videos. Trust me, you won't regret it!
