Evening all,

Haven't posted in here for a while but thought I would as I've recently injured my back (not unusual for me except for its affecting a different side to normal) and this is causing me to be losing more sleep than my average 4 or 5 hours. As a result I find myself nodding off throughout the day and today I had a dream where I was looking at a sun dial that had a sun god carving on it which came to life and kept on repeating "no sun for you". I am now thinking I have completely lost the plot or I need more sleep or the most logical thing is I need to praise the weather gods more often........

I have enjoyed the madness of the last few days of NFR NFC.

People seem very busy with fun stuff.

Funkyfairy a friend of mine does roller derby and she loves it. It does seem good fun.

Morning all, how's everyone doing?

I'm now coming to the end of my week off work, has flown by even though I haven't really done too much. I did go to the spa yesterday, on my own, which was a first. They had a new aromatherapy room which was interesting. Lots of bright colours and stuff.

Today I'm sitting in town sipping tea and just, well, taking in the world as it passes on by. Thinking about lots of positive things that are set to take place over the next 2/3 years (well that's the plan - I'll fill you all in as and when ;))

Tomorrow I'm planning on heading into London. Going to do lots of walking and maybe visit a museum. I also fancy visiting a rooftop coffee place, anybody got any suggestions?

Welcome back @ourkid1984, hope the back loosens up a bit soon.  What have you managed to do to it?

Sounds like you've enjoyed the week off Dave, always a good sign.  Don't know about rooftop coffee, but I always like finding somewhere to stop down on the south bank.  And as far as museums etc go I really like wandering around the Portrait Gallery, and the Museum of London is quite surprisingly good.

Considering throwing in an extra local (ish) fest in September up in Guildford.  2 day job in the big, Saturday night is Mystery Jets and Sunday has The Allergies, Dub Pistols, High Cornwell and Turin Brakes.  Seriously thinking about taking the Monday off work and heading up for the Sunday :)

Thanks Quark I was planning on heading to South Bank so I'll see what I can find :)

Festival wise - do it! Reasonably priced? It may also help get you in the zone for ticket day!

£20 for a day ticket, so very much in the reasonable camp :)

It's been set up by the local independent venue as a community, music, arts/theatre and wellbeing festival to celebrate their 10th birthday.

Only challenge is it's the weekend after Pilton Party, so will just have to work on convincing Mrs Q that she can spare me for 2 weekends on the bounce!

Ah yes that's very much in the reasonable camp. I hope Mrs Q gives you the all clear! :)

Dare I ask @Woffy?  Either missed it or have blocked it from my memory.

Er, best not to ask but just go with the fact that "relations" anytime after a couple of days at a festival are, erm, foolish, due to the dairy like nature of certain areas of a person.

Ahem.

Thanks all for the welcome good to be back, all is fine at home just lots on as in the process of buying a new house which is always stressful - looks like we may be moving in October so my biggest stress is that we might have to move on the weekend of ticket day - I cannot let that happen as will have no broadband !!! - is my Glastonbury obsession getting too much???  Enjoy London djdave love the southbank and the Tate Modern especially, really want to go back now the new extension is open. Quark- your festival sounds great and for £20 it would be rude not to, and my post festival comedown is very very bad this year as I don't have any more to look forward to have only managed to watch 2 sets from the bbc as couldn't face watching it, wishing I was back at the farm.  note to self - more festivals next year.

Very Manchester here in Manchester - but off to the lakes tomorrow for a long weekend where it will - no doubt be very Manchester so I will be happy to take one for the team.  Love to all x

Going to change the topic...

I need a bit of a pick me up, even it's only false hope.  Was trawling emails last night, and came upon the one I sent to lost property last year after I left my phone in Strummerville (mental note to self: new song title).  Hadn't thought about it for a whiler but it reminded me that I had all the photos on there from #getMiketoGlastonbury (if anyone else remembers it).

So.  Has anyone had any experience or anecdotes of lost property showing up in later years?  I refuse to accept defeat!
